Hello, just joined, waiting for my next gen odbeleven and have no idea how this forum/coding business works, nor do I know the terminology.
My question for today, will I be able to use this device to reduce the brightness of my headlights, I have a big problem with blinding other drivers and with blinding myself from reflected light off road signs..
I want to do other stuff too, the lane assist is the main (safety) concern, but this would be a massive bonus

No advice? I also am a bit curious about whether travel assist is worth it, I already have acc and lane assist (now default off and set to early intervention)... I don't see anywhere that there is more to travel assist than this?

Still nothing?
I'd also like to disable front assist permanently?

Everything you are asking for is impossible, and even possible is to put you outside European law. Take into account the messages and information on the various posts here.
If you've got Matrix LEDs and you're embarrassed by them, you shouldn't have bought such a modern car. I've got no problem with Matrix LED headlights and maybe it's just a matter of getting used to them. Try to have your headlights adjusted by the manufacturer and, if necessary, go and see an ophthalmologist to sort it out.
Don't take this the wrong way, but make the best of what we have to offer here, otherwise you should have done your homework before taking Obdeleven. The solution is probably to change cars if you don't want anything. Good luck and all the best.
Sincerely

Ah, it's a shame, though i doubt reducing the headlight brightness is illegal, who needs a billion candles? I didn't actually know what matrix headlights are, seems they are supposed to leave gaps in the illumination at full beam? In which case, not really relevant to my question- i just switch between full beam and dipped like I've always done, and as most people should be doing (automatic systems are way too slow, at least they don't really figure in my daily use). I think changing the led's for less bright ones might be a bit pricier than it's worth though, was hoping for a software fix As for the front assist, you can switch it off when you get in the car, so surely it can't be illegal to have it default to off? As I said above, the main thing was to make the lane assist safe again, that was worth getting the OBD for- the above would just be gravy Sadly this was the only car I could afford, I'm much happier with it now the lane assist is off, and I've un-regestered myself as a user to workaround the user selection bug (I wonder when they will fix that?) . The rest I can put up with, but will keep my eye out for solutions Thanks for your response, it's appreciated. p.s, keep forgetting my country is not in Europe anymore (though i'd rather it not be true) .If any of it is ilegal in European law maybe its allowed in the uk..

Sorry I didn't like your previous until now, still learning the forum Update for posterity, had to re-login to the car as I couldn't use the app unless I did, and that's useful for stopping and starting charges . Just hope they fix the login screen soon I found out (thanks to philc43 ) you can request one-click apps here: f orum.obdeleven.com/board/57/requests-vag, will direct those kind of queries that way from now on
