Hello,
When I leave driver's seat for more than approx. 10s, the engine will shutdown. It doesn't matter if I leave keys inside or not (keyless access)
I would want engine to stay on. I live in Finland, and we get lots of snow in winter. It's common to start the engine to warm it up, while getting snow off from windows and roof.

hmm....... not sure about the engine switching-off with the driver seat empty - but the tweak to keep the engine running on a car with kessy and the key outside the car (clearly therefore with the driver seat empty) is as follows: 09 central electrics module Adaptation
ZV allgemein - Funk bei Klemme 15 ein change setting to active
Because it's an easy try - worth a shot IMO (revert setting back to original value if it doesn't work)

dv52 (Australia) I understood this option differently Enable Lock/Unlock via Key Fob with Ignition On
09 Central Electronics Access Code 31347 Adaptation -> ZV allgemein(Access control) ---> Funk bei Klemm 15 ein: ------> not active -> Active Enable passive Lock/Unlock via Door Handle Sensors (KESSY) with Ignition On
B7 Access Startsystem Interface Access Code 20103 Long Coding orig. 0F20000723 ---> 1F20000723 or -> Terminal 15 characteristics of passive entry exit function ---> orig. Function only allowed for terminal 15 off ---> new. Function only allowed for terminal 15 on or off

Hello, what if I don't have (KESSY), I have the usual key, the one inserted behind the steering wheel, and I don't want the engine to turn off when leaving the vehicle? What coding should I do to keep the engine running without being in the seat?

MartiniB : Yes, you are correct - but I had understood that OP wanted the first tweak in your reply (it still works with KESSY with the key-fob outside the car - regardless of the lock/unlock status) Don

This didn't work.
Seems like opening driver's door will cut the ignition; when I open the door, there's "OFF" in the left corner next to RPM gauge

jauho : OK - then I need to apologize to MartiniB because his advice is correct (my bad)!! So, using MartiniB instructions, do this: - Fire-up OBD11 software and connect to dongle
- Navigate to B7 Access Startsystem Interface module
- Select Long Coding - make sure the "Car" tab is selected (i.e. the extreme left-side tab on the upper row - see picture below)
- Select Terminal 15 characteristics of passive entry exit function (it's the first entry in the list)
- Set value = function only allowed for terminal 15 off (this is equivalent to setting Byte 00, Bit 0=1)
- Select SLIDE TO WRITE
- If prompted for an Access Code, enter 20103
- Exit OBD11 software - cycle ignition key

It was coded already "function only allowed for terminal 15 off", so this wasn't the correct solution.

try the other option "Function only allowed for terminal 15 on or off" as suggested by MartiniB
