The long coding ui only lets you either make changes by description or by bytes. But is there any way to see the descriptions along with the bytes/bits they're associated with?

i do compare long coding before and after,
example:
Add Tolerance for Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control (option added, but works only first of three)
13 Adaptive Cruise Control Long coding orig. 32055FD25DFFC728949C812481400680000000000000000076 -> 32055FD25DFFC728949D812481400680000000000000000076 -> 32055FD25DFFC728979D812481400680000000000000000076 -> 32055FD25DFFC728979D812481400680000000000010000076
or -> Tempolimitassistent_CarMenu: Not activated -> activated or -> zul_Regelabweichung_CarMenu: orig. Off Small (nothing) Medium (nothing) -> Large (off; low; medium; high) or -> pACC_Learning_drivers_offset: Deactivated -> activated

Firstly there are three different levels of information here and as usual with OBD11 the way it works is different on IOS vs Android.
Firstly in the Description section you will see all the labels the PART MANUFACTURER has added Then in IOS you have a screen of all the user descriptions but with no relation ship to Byte Bit Then in IOS and Android you have the Byte Bit screen But in Android the individual Bit elements will show the user descriptions as well as the number Further you can also see the descriptions that other languages have applied.

Is there something to do download or just happen to be lucky and click all the ones with no user-added description? Why does the part manufacturer labels have a map to the bits they change?

i do compare long coding before and after how do you do the comparison? Can you do it before applying the change? Seems like a tedious process if you have a lot of changes to potentially make. forum.obdeleven.com/post/84068/thread

The following is my guess. OBD11 Don't do much to support this part of the function, so they only show you the description but they don't then update on the byte/bit view they rely on users to do that. If you want to know what they impact just select one and then if you look at your history you will be able to see what has changed. Example
select the top right arrow box and it will take you to this screen
if you then select the highlighted green Byte you will then see the Bit view and again the changes will be highlighted in Green
