@streiflight: Hmm........the answer to your first question is (generally) YES. The answer to your second question is NO - because it's anyone's guess to which of the 3 x cars in your signature you want to fit a trailer-hitch!

Also and regardless of which car this question is related-to, the instructions vary depending on how the car was factory built (it matters which modules are installed in the car). If you want to proceed, include a copy of the car's SCAN report
