Hi,
I have a Golf Mk8 Life with DSG, MY2023. It has regular lane keeping, ACC and I was wondering whether there is any way to enable travel assist, so that my car would keep itself in the center of the lane instead of bumping me from lane to lane.
I googled but I didn't find anything conclusive.

Hi,
you need to retrofit the capacitive steering wheel to enable Travel assist. You can find used steering wheels for cheap on Ebay/Allegro. Keep an eye on the HW/SW version on the touch controler and try to avoid 5H0959542A. Go for a higher revision, as the "A" revision caused these annoying "Travel assist malfunction" errors. For replacement of the steering wheel you need to remove the airbag and use M12 spline socket to remove the old steering wheel. Coding afterwards is straightforward.
