Vehicle: Audi A8 2012
App name: Cruise control "brake assist" delete
Description: Cruise control "brake assist". While driving cruise control activated at the speed set by the cruise control a route where there are many hills, vehicle uses engine brake and gearbox shifting down and disc brakes to slowdown / keep the set speed on downhills. Is there a way change some parameters at least delete using brakes to let the cruise coast/roll downhills instead trying to slowdown the vehicle(keeping the set speed). It lights up brake lighs in every downhill. Engine braking is ok, but using brakes... it brakes pretty hard/agressive if necessary to keep the set speed and that is very annoying feature. (just to make correct, i dont mean newer car gearbox coasting function putting in to neutral in downhills, i know that aint possible to do for older car gearboxes).
Especially this cruise control "brake assist etc" is very annoying when i am pulling a caravan and there is road where is multiple uphills and downhills one after the other and the vehicle brakes everytime on downhills before the next uphill and takes a lot gas andnis very uneconomy to go uphill when the vehicle doesnt use downhill rolling speed at all.
My car has an ordinary cruise control without front camera/ adaptive cruise control.
