Hi
Not sure if I have coded something wrongly but I have lost lighting on the steering wheel, the section where you load cds and also the mmi buttons do not light up when headlights are on. All buttons work still just don't illuminate and the dimmer switch does not work. All other illumination lights work still

Sometimes I think this behavior can be caused when water has got into the boot left compartment and impacts the optical loop from the radio unit that then routes to the front.
Otherwise there is Terminal 58s which controls the illumination of buttons. That's a purple wire and starts in a 32 pin connector in the area under the steering wheel and goes to most button switches to light them up.

Thanks for your help. Do you mean the boot right side where the fuses are located? All fuses are OK in the rear and both sides of dash.

No I mean left side where the radio unit (and sometimes amp depending on your spec). There is an optical cable that goes into the radio unit.

I have checked the left side all seems dry. Just struggling to find the connector under the dash.
