I put a new battery in my car a Bosch s5 008 high amps and power than the normal one. However when I try to adapt the battery all the details are unavailable except the serial code which is 068 000 000000000, I added a 1 to the end of it in hopes it would do something but nothing. This has caused my coding for lights and other bits and bobs to reset and not work. Any help is much appreciated I've got obdeleven pro

New battery info is only required WHEN your car has auto start/stop built into it, and you replace the battery. I used the serial number field for the date i replaced the battery.
The cars with auto start/stop require a " glass matt battery" . They require special charging programs so as to not damage the alternator and those bateries are stupid expensive. When replacing a standard cheap battery nothing specal is needed.
P S If you notice the engine idle rpm increase when warmed and maybe sitting at a red light, that is an indication that the car is sensing a low battery, and is trying to charge it faster. Check for loose or just bad battery connections
