Anyone try this adaptation on a Golf MK8 R to remember drive modes ? Gateway Adaptation Driving_Profile_Selection_Parameter Counter_Master_Reset change active to not active  |

It didn't work on my SK NX '22 year model. Even if I selected Eco or Individual, the mode get restarted to Normal after cycling the ING. So annoying.

Complete dataset modification then uploading that dataset to my car. If it works then I will be able to do it remotely as well.

If you don’t know what you’re doing with it, don’t attempt to use that as it will brick your module if you do it incorrectly.

yeah I understood it now, I have been doing a lot of reverse engineering myself before (but not in this field), so hex codes etc are not very exciting for me anymore  Just no idea what kind of tools I'd need to get this done. |

First, you need gateway parameter dataset of you vehicle for modification then other work is not hard.
mqbevo is different to mqb but the method still work after some small modify.

Yep.
1) Get original dataset from VW (there are plenty)
2) Modify it
3) Upload with ODIS or VCP
4a) Profit
4b) Brick

How do you? Sticking to Jilles manuals looks safe, it is with most possible caution. Yet, it is not a indoor playground with a bunch of bits and far away from just coding.

He very well knows someone who "screwed in a FPA-Dataset only once and the Gateway instantly died." (sic)
He also told me to let you now that it is only safe to remap FPA using Jilles work.

Isn't it possible with ODBEleven ultimate? Found custom OCA possibilities which can adapt UDS and also Eeprom. Isn't this one of these we need to adapt?

Since every vehicles could have its own FPA dataset, I can not provide it here. This tool will connect to my app server to modify the dataset and let you download it. I will try keep the service if loading is not too high. Please remember, the file name of MQBEvo should keep original name (DA_...xml) in data set pack. There maybe some false alarm from windows defender about my app... never mind ...UPDATE... I found output of my app have bug. Now fixed in server side. |
