Hi

I have a 2015 golf r dsg with 68000 miles covered the gearbox started to make a horrible bearing noise which I found out was a common bearing problem in the gearbox
I have now replaced the failed bearing cleaned out everything refitted it and was unable to basic set I had a lot of errors logged cleared them and they would come back I have checked all the fuses and connections and then decided to send the mechatronic for a specialist test which they confirmed it was faulty and could be repaired
I have then refit it to still have the same issue unable to basic set and a list of faults, I have spoke to the people who repaired the mechatronic and they are now retesting but my issue is now the mechatronic is not fitted to the car when I release the gear stick using the emergency button on the lever should I be able to push the car or is it actually stuck in gear as the fault code shows

If it doesn't am lost as what the whinning noise is
