Hi,

When I got my car golf r mk 7. My mode button on wheel switched between cruise control and speed limiter.

I like the limiter as when in avg spd areas I avoid pts…

However since getting my car back from garage after gearbox issue it defaults to cruise control only I can press any button on that side of wheel and it just turns acc/cruise control on and off???

Any help appreciated.

Ps I do have obd11 if anyone has the code to put it back on.??

Of course it's difficult to be precise given that the only piece of information that we have is that you appear to have lost speed limiter since "getting my car back from garage after gearbox issue".

My uneducated hunch (wild guess really) is that might be worth checking whether the "garage" has remove speed limiter from the ECU - maybe?

Perhaps after you try vwjap suggestion and if you are NOT able to access the speed limiter facility by pressing the stalk - have a look at the long-code string on the engine module.

The software switch that tells the engine module that the speed limiter is installed is on Byte 06, Bit 2.

Again, I'm guessing!
