That feature are disabled by factory, because many people open their windows when car keys are in their pocket. It can be activated by obdeleven app: "Comfort windows"

Do you know if it's possible by coding?

Maybe: ZV Komfort_Fensterheber: Komfortbedienung_fh_oeffnen_ueber_funk: <---- to open active Komfortbedienung_fh_schliessen_ueber_funk: <---- to close active

Hi, on my Golf 8 Life I can close windows when I close the doors with the remote, but I wish open them when I open the doors with the remote. Is it possible? Wait, you can close them all from the remote, but you can't open them? Mine is the opposite. From the factory if you hold the unlock button all 4 windows go down and the sunroof opens (if you have one). I'd like to be able to close everything from the remote though, like if I hold the lock button, but it doesn't work.

Maybe: ZV Komfort_Fensterheber: Komfortbedienung_fh_oeffnen_ueber_funk: <---- to open active Komfortbedienung_fh_schliessen_ueber_funk: <---- to close active I set this using credits. My windows open, but not the sunroof. The windows AND sunroof close though.

Yes exactly! I can close windows but I can't open them by the remote "unlock" button.
I will try the suggested coding ASAP.

Hi, on my Golf 8 Life I can close windows when I close the doors with the remote, but I wish open them when I open the doors with the remote. Is it possible? Volkswagen never ceases to amaze me. I just purchased a 2024 Golf GTI, top Canadian market trim ('Performance') with all the bells & whistles. The vehicle was built in October 2023. I can OPEN the windows with my key fob, but I can't close them with the key fob. Exactly the opposite of the problem you have.

Maybe: ZV Komfort_Fensterheber: Komfortbedienung_fh_oeffnen_ueber_funk: <---- to open active Komfortbedienung_fh_schliessen_ueber_funk: <---- to close active I have confirmed that the above changes work on my vehicle, which is a 2024 GTI, Canadian specification. My car came from the factory with opening windows via the remote (oeffnen_ueber_funk) enabled, but closing windows via the remote (schliessen_ueber_funk) disabled. It was a very simple task to change schliessen_ueber_funk to "active". While I was in that controller (Central Electric, controller 09) in that same adaptation area, I noticed another configuration possibility entitled "Komfortbedienung fh schliessen ueber fh taster" (comfort operation closing via button). The "button" refers to the little indentation on the exterior door handle that you press to lock the doors. I changed this from 'not active' to 'active', and now I can close all the windows on my car by just pressing and holding the locking button on the exterior door handle. This is more convenient than digging the key fob out of your pocket and holding the button on the key fob. Thanks to D J Martzian for posting the original coding instructions for opening and closing the windows using the remote key fob. Michael

Maybe it's a dumb question, but have you tried to activate it from car's menu? In the car rolling screen under window setting if i'm not wrong you can enable/disable it (at least 2021 GTE)

Maybe it's a dumb question, but have you tried to activate it from car's menu? Hi Alberto: If a feature is not enabled, as was the case on my car (closing windows via remote was not enabled from the factory), there will not be a corresponding menu item displayed on the infotainment screen. Often, when enabling features that were not enabled at the factory, there are actually two coding steps required: 1) Enable the feature, and; 2) Enable display on the infotainment screen of the ability to control the feature (turn it on or off). If someone only does step 1, the feature will work, but they will not be able to turn it on or off via the infotainment screen menu, they will have to use a diagnostic scan tool (OBDeleven or similar) to turn the feature off if they want to turn it off at some time in the future.
