Hi, I want to adjust the DRL brightness on the headlight on my Volkswagen Golf R 2023 but the name of the DRL is not the same as the MK7
can you guide me to fit the exact name on the Volkswagen Golf R 2023 ?
this is the instructions for the MK7 :
When I turn on my low beams the DRL LED gets brighter Than The Center DRL . Is there a away to reduce the headlight DRL LED brightness or increase the brightness of the Center DRL.
Select the Central electrics module @ address hex09 Select Security access Enter the magic number 31347 Select Adaptations Search for Leuchte2SL VLB10 (left-side DRL) and select Lichtfunktion A 2 Only if the setting is Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht: Positionslicht: Begrenzungslicht) proceed with the next steps Select Dimmwert AB 2. This is the DRL dimming level for headlight-on illumination and it should be factory set at 26 - raise value to an aesthetically pleasing number (not too high-please) Repeat V. above for Leuchte3SL VRB21 (right-side DRL) and Dimmwert AB 3

The safety code 31347 don’t work
And the Leuchte2SL VLB10 (left-side DRL) and Leuchte3SL VRB21 (right-side DRL) don’t appear on the MK8 R2023

First: central electrics on G8 has SFD. Please follow procedures to enable SFD unlocking. No 5 digit code will work.
Second: I could not follow what exact light you are talking about. The Golf only has 3 individually controllable fixtures. The inner lightbar is engineered to follow the parking light intensity and is already at maximum intensity at that level.
Third: There are a lot of setups where the front lights are controlled by the 4B control unit, which uses a signed dataset to control the lights. In case there is a 4B in your car, you can stop right away.

I want to reduce the brightness of the drl on the headlight but I don’t know if it was controlled by 4B, how I can see if it’s the case?
I see on Facebook forum that it’s been done by coding but I don’t know how

if you reduce the brightness, the LEDs could be flickering. These are intentionally set to 127%.

I try to increase the brightness of the center LED by change the Dimmwert ABC 32 from 100% Oem to 127% and it’s very nice, it is ok to change this value?
I know that the led will last not longer with 127% but headlight is too at 127%

LEDs with overcurrent tend to fail rapidly. Proceed at your own risk. It depends on the Typ how the Dimmwerte are interpreted (PWM, current controlled, voltage controlled)

The factory light bar brightness is editable and set to 100 from factory. The actual DRLs in the headlights are not editable they’re dataset locked. If you set the light bar to 127 it will fail rapidly as the LEDs are not intended for that brightness.
