Hey all. I just got an OBDeleven for my 2023 RS3. This is my first Audi/VW, and it is a daily and track toy.
Looking at other threads on various websites, there seems to be a lot of things that can be done to adjust the behavior at the track, such as brake boost level brake assistant brake stabilization XDS levels And most of these are in the ABS module. However, when I go into long coding, most have settings where I can choose from a dropdown. But the ABS module just loads up a byte/bit editor with zero info on what anything might do. Anyone know why? Is that something that eventually get updated? Are there any good resources on changing these parameters?

I had a look at the brake booster unit because I felt my car was 'under-servoed'.
However, I was unable to edit anything.
S3, 2021.

Did you try to unlock SFD first? It is a protected control unit. Not sure if you have the drop down with descriptions for long coding, or a hex editor like I do.

Anyone know why? the part manufacturer may provide a list if not then all you get is bits and bytes description f bits and bytes is provided by user community if its blank nobody has shared

hmm.............. ain't anything different about the missing descriptions for the software switches on the long-code string for the hex03 module on MQB-evo platform cars (like the 8Y RS3). This situation is EXACTLY the same on the previous version MQB platform vehicles.
As I have said in other replies on this matter, my understanding is that third-party diagnostic cable manufacturers like OBD11, Vag-Can Pro and VCDS (for the "yellow" long-code helper screens) get these software-switch descriptors about modules from the same commercial provider. This is why these descriptors (if provided) invariably use the same words across ALL diagnostic devices!
However and whilst modifying other modules connected to the car's CAN network can have safety implications - making changes to the hex03 module can be (is) more directly impactful on vehicle safety. My guess is that this is why the Byte/Bit descriptors on this module are missing - and it's also the reason why there is a myriad of security codes for the hex03 module that must be entered to change specific long-code values on MQB platform cars (not sure how this is done on MQB-evo cars that use SFD protocols)
And before anyone responds saying that some Byte/Bit descriptors are known for some hex03 modules on MQB platform cars (like the MK100 30-Byte 3Q0/5Q0 ABS modules) - this information was generously put into the public domain by a very industrious forum member (not this forum) that meticulously compared the databases from lots of different cars!
