Hi, so I've just finished replacing all my speakers and installing an aftermarket amp. (Sony XM-GS6DSP 5/6 Channel Amp)
I disconnected the MOST fiber cable and installed the speaker connector that non-fender GTI's have (8 Pin speaker connector 3B7035447 and used the female connectors (N 906 844 05) from VW Repair Wire). From this connector I tapped into Front Signal pins 3(+)/7(-) and 2(+)/6(-) Now the DSP AMP gets the high level input from the wires that are connected to the pins. Speakers are connected to the existing wires coming out of the now disconnected Fender Amp Connector.
The issue I'm having is the Amp gets the signal from headunit, but the sound coming from the speakers is extremely weak and ANYTIME I touch the volume knob the music cuts out for at least 15 seconds and comes back. On my OBDEleven I have coded the headunit through 5F Module which would be Byte 4 (To code the HT and TT channels), Byte 11 (to turn the Sound System from MOST to INTERNAL), and Byte 19 (to turn off MOST).
I am now also getting open circuit codes for ALL CHANNELS of the speaker pins (Ex. Front Left and Right Treble and Bass OPEN CIRCUIT and same for rear)
Is there a step that I missed from following DV52's steps? I wanna get this resolved as I sure miss using my steering wheel controls. In the meantime I can have a bluetooth connection with the Amp.

I have made a discovery to my issue that I am having. The amp has two modes for 2 channel/DSP bluetooth. One is 5V and one is 2V. Now the music cuts instantly on 5V and works intermittently on 2V depending on the volume of my phone. I can crank the volume on the headunit as much as I want. However, if the volume on my phone is too high the music cuts. I'm assuming the high level input voltage is too much for the amp and causing it to cut out. So I might have to buy a line out converter to solve this issue...
