Hi,
I have installed a rear view camera on my Golf VIII stationwagon. I only need to do a parametrization as camera is origional and "empty".
Has anyone done this using EEPROM functionality of OBD11? Does anyone know string, address of values etc?

I dont know the answer but everything I have seen tells me the EEPROM service on OBD11 Leaves a lot to be desired.
mr-fix Is the go to guy for these matters and here is a post I saw from him recently

OBDeleven can modify memory but it's:
a) available only for Android
b) possible only if memory is already filled with data (can't fill empty address)
c) you have to manually insert data bit by bit (there's not copy-paste function)
OBDeleven Ultimate app builder claims to have parameterization but it does not work. I reported it last year, but no one have fixed it.
Your best move right now would be doing parameterization with CarScanner app and ELM327 dongle.
And if you have OBDeleven Ultimate, please complain that the parameterization feature does not work.

Any update in this topic? I want change eeprom to activate sport layout in A3 8V Software version: 0045 HW version: H13 I follow the following steps: 1. Car on ignitaion, handbreak is on, hood is open 2. Go to unit 17(dashboard) 3. Change service to: Development mode 4. Security access: 20103 5. Press the eeprom buton and fill the filed value bellow: --> Address: 03003C09 --> Length: 1 --> ALFID 14 6. Press the blue button to read, I got response "something goes wrong, try again" So I changed service to EOL(end of line) and try agian, and I got the same result. I try many times but allways got the same message, I change length from 1 to 01, and changed ALFID to 33 or 44. At the end I try to send Reset, soft and hard, 11 01 (hard reset) lub 11 02 (soft reset), this comand was avaliable on the button. But reset not work nothong to do. Have you got any sugestion how properly read eeprom in Dashboard? Probably it is possible beacause in the apps I have possibility to activate sport layout but it is cost 200 credists.
