Hi all, for MK7/7.5 I was able to enable Adaptive Lane Tracking with “Point_of_intervention“ set to “early”.
Is there coding available for MK8? I have travel assist but would like to have lane keep assist to center the car without enabling travel assist.

Lane assist is a different setting.
Travel assist is enabled when cruise control is on and you hit the button on the steering wheel.
Lane assist is accessed by pressing the button on the end of the left stalk.

Currently, MK8 will only center the car in lane if travel assist is enabled. I am asking if there is a way to code Adaptive Lane Tracking with “Point_of_intervention“ set to “early” for lane assist/keep like MK7/7.5.

There is no such item anymore avaliable. Setting hc variante to 1 will disable the Traffic Assist view and button, but will enable ALG like behavior for lane assist. But you will not get any extra menu item for it

Thanks!
So set HC Variante to 1 will disable Travel Assist altogether?

Yep. Button has no function. But in my opinion, HC1 does the thing almost as well as TravelAssist and should even work as TJA down to 0km/h in case ACC is enabled.
I would miss the broad multilane assist view, thats why I never investigated this further
In case the car is MY23 with assisted lane change, you will loose that function.

Thanks. We do have MY23 but have not tested assisted lane change. Will play around with this and see which one we like better. Don't think assisted lane change is something I will miss.

Here's what it looks like between the default mode and variant 1 when using cruise control and you turn on travel assist. After making this change I had to set the adaptation to remember my lane assist and I keep it off because it becomes as aggressive as travel assist with cruise control. It's much more like a Tesla Autopilot when using variant one. It makes me feel more confident because it isn't waiting until you are near the line. I know someone here said lane assist is disabled when you do this but I believe it works for me and I'm going to double check.

So I tested lane assist with variant 1 set and it does work. The option is present on both the vehicle configuration (via the infotainment) and when you press the left stalk button. When you turn it it doesn't show the icon but it does have the large road graphic that indicates whether there is a solid line, no line, or dotted line on the road. The car will adjust itself to prevent you from leaving the lane, assuming it sees the lane). The level of intervention seems similar to the normal lane assist, not the aggressive travel assist that you get with variant 1

Someone know the meaning of HT Variant values? (es. 0, 1, 2, .....).

I have a MY23. Is Assisted Lane Change native to the 23's or do I need to code it? (if so, how?) Thanks much.

No, but it's possible that some variants normally require better sensors or cameras. I'm still using variant 1 and I found out the cruise control with lane keep assist has no lower speed limit. Basically I was crawling along in traffic in 1st gear with lane keep, 5 to 10mph. The only problems is since I have a manual the car would stall if it went below a certain speed.
