Tested Tweaks/Coding in Taigun

Below is the list of all tweaks/codings tested on VW Taigun (2022 variant ) .

These tweaks should be equally applicable for VW Virtus ,  Skoda Kushaq and Slavia in Indian market.

General Info :- The car ignition should be ON , but engine should be OFF while using obdeleven. Otherwise changes may not be saved correctly.  

> Theft Alarm Enable (Car honks and flashes if forced to open door from inside )

Note :- This Feature gets enabled within ~2 minutes after locking out the car.
            Car honks continously if anyone forces to break window and tries to unlock doors from inside.

  Note:-  3 is the default value and 5 is the maximum allowed number of blinks.


> Disable  "Please switch on the lights" pop-up message while car is in dark areas

> Change Digital Cluster Theme Color
Dashboard(17) > Adaptation > default_color > Red,Green,Blue values

Type in Red, Green, Blue color values in 8-bit format (0-255)
{R,G,B} = {128,128,128} gives Gray
{R,G,B} = {0,143,132}    gives AquaGreen
{R,G,B} = {250,0,0}        gives GT Red of 1.5L variants
{R,G,B} = {0,160,255}    gives Stock Blue of 1L variants


> Change Infotainment Screen theme color
Multimedia(5F) > adaptation > Function configuration hmi > Skinning

0 - Blue ( 1L taigun stock value)
1 - blue with different text font
2 - Red (GT taigun stock value)
3 - Orange


> Change Startup Logo of Infotainment Screen
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Startup_Screen_Sticker_HMI >

1- "Welcome to Volkswagen" text (stock)
2- Simple VW logo
3- Welcome text + beatsaudio logo
4- welcome text + red GTS logo

Note :- Exit and Lock the car , and wait for ~4 minutes for the car to reboot the infotainment system.


> Enable Gauge Needles Sweep during car startup
Dashboard(17) > Long Coding > Staging> Yes
Note:- This setting is applicable only for cars with non-digital instrument cluster


> Wheel angle display in Digital Cluster
Dashboard(17) > Adaptation > OFFROAD > Display
Note:- After enabling, go to Instrument Cluster settings from Steering wheel’s buttons and select 'Steering Angle’ to display it


> Refuel volume display in Digital Cluster
Dashboard(17) > Long coding > Volume to be replenished > Yes

Note:- After enabling ,go to Instrument Cluster settings from Steering wheel’s buttons and select ‘Refuel Quantity’ to display it


> Tachometer (RPM) display in Digital Cluster
Dashboard(17) > Adaptation > China Variant > Yes


> Disable 80kmph speed warning & chime
Dashboard(17) > Adaptation > Vehicle Speed warning for India >  --- > No


> Disable 120kmph speed warning & chime
Dashboard(17) > Adaptation > Vehicle Speed warning for India > Seconds >
     Change the current value '120' to  '250'


> Fan level Display in Auto A/C mode
Air Conditioning(08) > Long coding > Blower display in auto operation > activated.


> Disable DRL on hand brake ( DRL stays off when hand brake is engaged and headlight knob is in '0' position )
Central Electrics (09) > Adaptation > Außenlicht_Front > "Tagfahrlicht_Dauerfahrlicht_bei_Handbremse_abschalten" > active
Use Access Code 31347 if asked by tool.
NB:- This doesn't work if headlight switch knob is in 'Auto' position


> Add Sports Menu in Infotainment Screen  
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle menu operation > menu_display_SportHMI > Activated.
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle menu operation > menu_display_SportHMI_over_threshold_high > Activated.

Note :- After above settings,  Lock the car, wait for ~4 minutes and turn on car , so that the infotainment system reboot completely.


> Add Offroad Menu in Infotainment Screen
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle menu operation > menu_display_compass > Activated.
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle menu operation > menu_display_compass_over_threshold_high > Activated.
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle function list BAP > compass_0x15 > Activated

Note :- After above settings, Lock the car, wait for ~4 minutes and turn on car , so that the infotainment system reboot completely.


> Add Climate Menu in Infotainment Screen (Incomplete functionality) ( Below steps work for 10inch VW Play infotainment system ) 
Air-conditioning(08) > Long coding > Display via BAP > Activated.
Air-conditioning(08) > Long coding > Operation via BAP > Activated.
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle function list BAP > climatic_master_0x01 > activated.
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle function list BAP > climatic_master_0x01_msg_bus > Comfort data bus.
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle menu operation > menu_display_clima_configuration > Activated.
Multimedia(5F) > Adaptation > Vehicle menu operation > menu_display_clima_configuration_over_threshold_high > Activated.

Note :-- After above settings, Lock the car, wait for ~4 minutes and turn on car , so that the infotainment system reboot completely.
NB:- Not all buttons work/respond on climate menu. The ventilation buttons function only if AC control unit has version 0208 firmware.
