I recently replaced a defective steering wheel clock spring on my 2014 Tiguan R-Line. Unfortunately, the part number that was originally installed is no longer available, so I went with a slightly different part number, after reading several posts that it would definitely work, but would need some additional coding after the install. ORIGINAL Part Number: 5K0-953-569-L NEW Part Number: 5K0-953-569-AL As expected, after the install, I still had dash lights showing errors: I have performed the angle calibration process (turn left - hold, turn right - hold, return to center, etc...) but nothing gained from that. I have gone into 44-Steering Assistance in the app (using iOS) and then to Basic Settings and then Channel 060. Field #1 consistently shows as "NOT OK". If I start the process, the status changes to "ON" and it just spins... I have left it running for around 5 min, but nothing ever happens. I have tried switching to EOL mode prior to starting, as mentioned in a post, but i get THIS error when trying to switch modes: These are the other codes I am seeing from a scan: I can GLADLY upload any other info needed for someone to assist... but I just need some direction here I think... THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Hi, I was wondering if you were able to resolve? I have a similar issue, I just changed my clock spring (5K0953569AL) and while all control buttons on the steering wheel and honk work, the cruise control stopped working. Mine is a 2017 Tiguan Sport. I have tried what is described in this video and it didn't work for me: youtu.be/SAN4aigZidc Thanks!
