I am trying to find the channels to do some coding of the LED tail lights on my Passat. I've managed to locate the channels for the inner and outer RH/LH strip in the middle of the tail light. On picture 2 below the outer RH+LH inner strip is on (channel 23+24). But I haven't managed to find the channels that controls the "outer rim", so I can turn on the entire tail lamp (position/park light) as on picture 3. Does anyone know which channels I should use?

It is this part of the tail light, for which I seek the channels. Anyone?

Good, I'm glad these channels were what you were looking for.
What has been the modification that you have done so that the back light is daylight?

Yes - exactly! I wanted to modify my cars DRL, so that my front park light and DRL was on (during daytime - see picture below), as well as my tail lights. My Passat light switch has four positions ("0", Auto, Park, Night time light). If I took the easy way and coded DRL = Park light, then my VW navigation went into "night mode", numberplate lamp, cabin switch light, cabin ambient light and so on was on. Especially the navigation in night mode was a pain in the.... Som now I've coded the following: DRL with front C-light (GTE) and front parklight. (Normally only C-light as DRL). DRL with the above mentioned taillight channels on (the same as night time light). I also chose to alter the light switch setting in "0", so it is as below: Position "0": All exterior light off (standard = DRL). Position "Auto": DRL (during daytime :-) ) with head- and taillights on as described above. Standard setting. Position "Park": As "Auto" but with navi in nightmode, light in interior switches, cabin ambient light on etc. Position "Night time light": As "Park" but with near light on in headlamps.

Hello,
Can anyone help, i want my taillights to be on this way:
DRL= nothing in the rear is on Normal lights = only outer rings at the rear are on, just like in PeterWholm photo shows.
This is the DRL mod for outer rings, but i want this mode in "normal running" mode:
Rear lights outer LED rings as DRL Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access Code 31347 Adaptation Leuchte16 - Lightfunction D16 change from non-active to Daylight running lights Leuchte17 - Lightfunction D17 change from non-active to Daylight running lights
Help, anyone?

Hi Peter,
can you please name these below channels (16,17,23,24,27) that you used for the task. I thought there should be 6 channels to torn on the entire light. 2 for outer rings, 2 for outer stripes and 2 for inner stripes ? Also can you please post the coding you did with these channels to achieve the results you got for the below tasks. Thanks in advance.
DRL with front C-light (GTE) and front parklight. (Normally only C-light as DRL).
DRL with the above mentioned taillight channels on (the same as night time light).

This might be an offtopic but does anyone know can standard LED tail lights be replaced with Highline or r-line (plus minus) version and does it need some coding or different cables or is it just plug and play

Have anyone done this complete? I did it but it only worked for DRL, but I want to have them as parklights and how can I do so? Because I want the 0/DRL to have no rear lights (saving energy on my Passat GTE )

I am working on that right now. Hopefully, in few hours I'll make them work. I also have found another thread somewhere which says G function on Leuchte 2sl and 3sl should be activated to work in a pace mode(not sure if it is for our B8). I'll be back.
L.E. No luck, both inner strips work on Leuchte 27 at the same time. There is no way you can separate them, or I didn't find it, yet. I'll give it another go next weekend.
