Hello, this octavia dynamic 23 I can't use the reverse mirror. I activated the option using an app and 10 credits. I moved the selector button to R and also activated the function on the MMi. I read that setting works when the vehicle is on switch but not driven. The gear selector does not go into reverse without starting the vehicle. help please! Thank you all
1. Start from a switched off vehicle 2. Put a switch (without drive!) 3. Transfer to reverse 4. Adjust the mirror to the position you want it to be in reverse 5. Return the gear lever to P 6. Turn off the car.

Without memory seat you cannot enable mirror drop with reverse. No module to save settings of mirror. Both work together

If I may borrow this thread, are memory seats required on both seats? Because I only have memory on the driver's seat.

My previous 2015 Tiguan did not have seat memory but mirror lowering was working. Doesn't work on my current 2021 Caddy. I think this is not related to seat memory, but to mirror memory.

Turn off the car. My understanding is that if your car has the correct equipment level and all the settings are correct, you still need to use the L-R rotary mirror switch on the driver’s door panel and select which mirror (left or right) you want to go downwards. It will not operate if the switch is in the centre position. Afterwards, you need to press the memory function on the driver’s seat to get the mirror to return to the desired memory position.

I tried this app. It worked the first time I put it in reverse but the position went up instead of down. Changed the position to down but remains there even after selecting drive.

logan2194 :Hi. Your NX has an MQB platform build (it's actually an MQB-evo platform) - therefore it shares the same DNA as other cars like Golf mk7. Audi A3 8V, Audi Q3 and many more!! The question about whether mirror-dip on reverse can be retrofitted on MQB platform cars that did NOT have this function as factory delivered is as much a matter about installed equipment as it is a coding issue. This thread contains the correct coding instruction for mirror-dip - but it is absent the equipment matter. For mirror-dip to function correctly - it's necessary for the passenger mirror to have a memory module, which is used to hold the "X/Y" coordinates for the return mirror coordinates. If you Google this tweak, you will find lots of posts from folk that complain that either it didn't work, or that mirror positioning wasn't correct. So, my suggestion is that you check how this car was factory fitted from a mirror equipment perspective. The process for checking is as follows: - Fire-up OBD11 software and plug-in/connect to the dongle
- Navigate to the Control Units screen and select the Passenger module which OBD11 calls "Door Electronics Passenger Side"
- Scroll-down the screen and select Live Data
- Enter "memory" into the search-box and place tick in the Mirror Memory box
- Click OK
- Do the displayed measurements contain the following values:?
- X coordinate = any percentage value - but NOT 255%
- Y coordinate = any percentage value - but NOT 255%
- Supply voltage = Activated
- intal = installed
Note: the displayed X/Y coordinates depends on the actual UP-DOWN/LEFT-RIGHT position of the passenger mirror
If the test does NOT yield the correct measured values as in Step 6 above- it means that the passenger mirror on this car does NOT have the required memory module!
Don PS: Here's a pictorial version of the test - alas using a now obsolete version of OBD11 software (but it shouldn't matter because the process hasn't changed with the current version software):

Looks like I have a mirror memory but it is not saved.

OK- if this car has the memory module - then the door module has the correct equipment for mirror-dip function. This is all that's necessary for mirror-dip-on-reverse on other MQB platform cars. However, I'm not sure if memory-seats are also required on an Octavia.
Have you set-up the mirror position correctly (with the mirror knob on the driver door pointing to the passenger mirror)? - read THIS

Yes I have done it. OBD11 are aware of this issue and have returned my credits for now until they fix it.
