I replaced my old mib 1 with mib 2 I noticed that the new display has a sensor that adjusts the brightness automatically based on the light it perceives there is a coding that removes this setting in the menu there is no

sorry for my language. I don't understand how to disable the automatic brightness adjustment of the display. the brightness changes according to the external light ie if it detects more external light the screen is brighter if it detects less light the screen darkens. I ask if there is a coding to remove this automatic display lighting adjustment. in the menu there is no possibility to remove this option.

maybe i understand the display communicates with the cdb, also the instrument cluster varies the lighting according to the external light from what i have read in the web it has a sensor for this function, is it possible to disable this sensor?

nicola : That's much better - thank you. So, by "the display", I assume that you mean the dashboard illumination. Yes, you are correct - MQB platform cars (like your Golf) does have a mechanism for varying the illumination level of a number of "displays"/lamps depending on the amount of light that's inside the cabin.
