I have a very brief history with the OBDEleven device and the list of changes made is very short:

1. Full Scan

2. Full Backup

3. App - Think Blue Information System OFF -> ON

4. App - Think Blue Information System ON -> OFF

So, I have restored the only change I ever made. Nowadays there is always a notification that there are car system updates available, that can be installed once the car is stationary. However, nothing ever happens. Further, when I go to system information and check for updates there is nothing.

My question, could the app installation have affected over-air-updates from Volkswagen? Because I remember that I have gotten these before my app installation.

I have a backup from before any changes were made and one from after, is there anything I should look for?

Hello,

Did you perform full scan of all STGs in the car?
Did you notice some anxious error?

In principle ThinkBlue trainer shouldn’t have an impact on your car internet connection. Please take a look on STG5F in terms of errors.

I’m not sure whether it is necessary but in order to have all VW features available, you should become Car Main User.
1. Prepare two keys
2. Sign in to your VW account
3. Set your profile to enable internet connection
4. Check whether globe icon is visible in the top middle of your multimedia system. If not please try to TurnOn it in system settings
5. If you are logged in and internet connection is available, try to perform update…

In case of further issues you can take and share here pictures from your car

Thanks for your reply.

I did perform the full scan but did not find any anxious error, but I am also new to OBDEleven so not really sure what that would look like.

Prior to this I did get a couple of over-the-air updates so I know that I had all required features enables. I am car main user and able to get trafic updates in the sat nav.

I have performed a factory reset on the infotaintment system without any effect.

When trying to manually update all that I get is an empty screen. Not sure if that is what I would get if I already had the latest. I believe my last update was in february or something so I am sure there must be updates for it already.

Any suggestions for further troubleshooting?

Is it listed somewhere what the app "Think Blue Information Screen" actually does?

Hello, I have problem with activating Lock/Unlock Acoustic Confirmation on my Passat B8.5. I done the OneClick app, but it didn't worked, then I done the adaption proces, but it neither worked. There is a Bit to activate to show on MIB, but i activate it and deactivate it 10 times and it didn't worked... Can someone explain me how and which adaption/coding i have to do to show the option in Vehicle menu on MIB?
