Hello, I installed a camera on my GTI, after activating the camera setting on the gateway and on 5f byte 19. I reseted the infotainment everything seemed to work fine. However, everytime I shut the car it seems to reset the process, the camera will no longer show a video image. I have to reset the infotainment system again for the camera to show video. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. I also have a hacked mib2 in the car which I hope is not the issue.

hmmm........ clearly the Gateway module is NOT happy about hex 6C module (it can't talk to the RVC module). I suspect this is why the SCAN doesn't report any hex6C module details.
Not sure about the MIB errors (hacked modules can report weird DTCs) - but Byte 19, Bit 4=1, so the MIB believes that this car has a low-line RVC. The wiring for a high-line RVC is fairly simple -see below If this was my car, I would start my diagnostics by confirming +Volts and earth potential at the actual RVC connector.
If the power supply is OK @ the connector, check the polarity of the CAN-High/CAN-Low wires. I assume that you don't own an oscilloscope - maybe use a multi-meter to measure DC Volts on each wire (to earth).
If the 2 x CAN wires are correctly connected and with the module in the wake state, the 2 x CAN wires (@ the RVC connector) should be as described in the video below (@ about 3:02 minutes).
But please note that a multi-meter test is a very blunt instrument when measuring CAN voltages. For this purpose, you are ONLY testing if the 2 x wires are connected to the CAN network and if their polarity is correct.

A question about the camera type, high or low?
Only the high variant has the control unit 6c and the CAN lines. The low only depends on the 5F as an additional device without its own bus.
As long as bugs exist in 5F, functions may be restricted. Please try to work off the errors on the 5F.

huh? If the RVC is low-line, why did you add hex6C module to the Gateway Installation List ?
As has been said by other's, the low-line RVC is a dumb device that hangs-off the MIB - it doesn't use the CAN network and it's turned-OFF/ON by the reverse lights.
Try removing the hex6C module from the GIL

Hello, thanks for the recommendation. I removed the hex6c and didn't help unfortunately. Everything works fine but I have to keep resetting the mib everytime I turn on the car for me to get video feed.

Please fix the bugs in 5F. With errors, some codings are not possible or not successful.
It is also possible that 5f does not work correctly with the errors.
