Hello, I am looking for the coding that when I switch on the high beam, that the fog lights also come on. I have seen that there is a 1Click app available for this, but I have not found the coding for it. (I don´t want to use the 1Click app) Thank you for your support

I cannot help you by telling you how to accomplish this via coding, but I can share some information that might cause you to reconsider whether or not you want to do this.
VW deliberately configures their cars so that fog lights go off automatically when high beams are selected. There is a good reason for this, and that is because the fog lights provide a bright pool of light directly in front of the car. Presumably when you select high beams on it is because you want to be able to see objects far out in front of the vehicle, objects that are a long way away.
If you have the fog lights on when high beams are selected, your (human) vision will adapt to the presence of the bright pool of light created by the foglights directly in front of the car, and this adaptation will diminish your ability to perceive distant objects at the outermost range of the high beam headlights. In other words, having fog lights on at the same time as high beams handicaps your ability to recognize and react to less brightly lit objects that are far, far away... which is (presumably) exactly what you want to be able to do if you have activated your high beam headlights.
So, strictly from a human factors perspective, disabling the "fog lights turn off when high beams turn on" feature is undesirable.
For what it's worth...

Huh? Need to tell my cars about it, they are all doing it wrong from factory.
Actually there is/was a NHTSA requirement that only two pairs of headlights are active at one time. There is no such law in Europe - or this was outdated way before my time.
So questions following up: North America or Rest of the World? GTI/GTD/... (with 2*5 LEDs in the honeycomb grill) or bad weather light from the main headlights?

vodafone : with my apology to paneuropean - the Leuchte-sets for the fog lights on a mk8 are the same as for a mk7- like this:
- Leuchte 12 NL L B45 - Left-side fog-light
- Leuchte 13 NL R B5 - Right-side fog-light
According to the central electrics module on a 2024 Golf GTI 'Performance' 2.0T DRNA (this is paneuropean 's car), the default settings on a mk8 for the pertinent part of the 2 x Leuchte-sets above are:
Leuchte 12 NL L B45- Lichtfunktion A 12 > Nebellicht links (fog-light left)
- Lichtfunktion B 12 > nicht aktiv
- Lichtfunktion C 12 > nicht aktiv
Leuchte 13 NL R B5- Lichtfunktion A 13 > Nebellicht rechts (fog-light right)
- Lichtfunktion B 13 > nicht aktiv
- Lichtfunktion C 13 > nicht aktiv
ONLY if your car has the SAME values as above:
To make the fog-lights switch-ON with high beam: change Lichtfunktion B value in the 2 x Leuchte-sets to the Leuchte-command for the high-beam function. On a mk7 Golf, this Leuchte-command is Fernlicht links (for left-side) and Fernlicht rechts (for right-side). I'm not sure what the equivalent Leuchte-command is on a mk8 - but it will be something very similar (if not the same).
And, if you want to add high-beam "flash" to the fog-lights: - change Lichtfunktion C value in the 2 x Leuchte-sets to the Leuchte-command for high-beam "flash" function. On a mk7, this Leuchte-command is Lichthupe generell for both car-sides - again, it will be something similar on a mk8
That's it - it's really that simple!!

Huh? Need to tell my cars about it, they are all doing it wrong from factory. Hi Newty: If you are in Europe, your VW products will be significantly different in both hardware (light control switch on the dashboard) and coding from NAR vehicles. In Europe, you have the ability to operate the parking lights (running lights) and fog lights together, without the main beams being on. That is the optimum configuration for driving in fog. Here in North America, VW products don't come with that capability enabled. I'm still getting used to my new MK 8, but on my MK 7, there was a physical lockout in the light switch that prevented operating of fog lights unless the main beams were on. Ridiculous, in my opinion. I do stand by my comments about operating fog lights together with high beams being something that is at cross-purposes. If you are out on a dark road at night with the high beams on, turning the fog lights on will diminish one's capability to recognize dimly lit objects at the outer limit of illumination that the high beams provide. Post-up screen shots of Leuchte 12 NL L B45 -so i can see how it's coded. To be clear, I need to see ALL adaptation channels in your pictures

Tommy: hmm............ not sure why my suggestion doesn't work on your MQB-evo platform car (Golf mk8)- as I said, it works on older MQB platform vehicles (Golf mk7). - What happened when you implemented my previous suggestion?
- Go to History and post-up screenshots of the change records that were made for my suggested tweak for Leuchte 12 NL L B45
- Did you confirm that the Leuchte-sets actually accepted the changed values?
- Did the car register any errors with my changes?
Maybe try another alternative below:
The default settings on a mk8 for the pertinent part of the 2 x Leuchte-sets above are: Leuchte 12 NL L B45
- Lichtfunktion D 12 > nicht aktiv
- Lichtfunktion E 12 > nicht aktiv
- Lichtfunktion F 12 > nicht aktiv
- Dimmwert DEF 12 > 0
Leuchte 13 NL R B5- Lichtfunktion D 13 > nicht aktiv
- Lichtfunktion E 13 > nicht aktiv
- Lichtfunktion F 13 > nicht aktiv
- Dimmwert DEF 13 > 0
To make the fog-lights switch-ON with high beam: - change Lichtfunktion E value in the 2 x Leuchte-sets to the Leuchte-command for the high-beam function. On a mk7 Golf, this Leuchte-command is Fernlicht links (for left-side) andFernlicht rechts (for right-side). I'm not sure what the equivalent Leuchte-command is on a mk8 - but it will be something very similar (if not the same).
- change Dimmwert DEF > 100 for the 2 x Leuchte-sets.
And, if you want to add high-beam "flash" to the fog-lights: - change Lichtfunktion D value in the 2 x Leuchte-sets to the Leuchte-command for high-beam "flash" function. On a mk7, this Leuchte-command is Lichthupe generell for both car-sides - again, it will be something similar on a mk8
- change Dimmwert DEF > 100 for the 2 x Leuchte-sets.

Don Hi Don, Sorry for the late response, I was abroad and then on a trip and didn't want to risk anything while travelling. With the previous suggestion nothing happened, and the same was with the new one. Car both times accepted the settings, no errors registered, but no mods.

tommy: I understand that tweaking a mk8 evolves allowing the vehicle to go through a "sleep-cycle" after the changes are made. I suggest that you repeat my two suggestions. Then with the changes implemented, switch-off the ignition and let the car sleep for 5 minutes before turning-on the ignition again and test the fog-light function.
If it still doesn't work, post-up screenshots of Leuchte 12 NL L B45 again with the changed values
Don
