Hi all, I would like to retrofit the Side Assist/Blind Spot Detection. From what I studied so far this should be an easy "upgrade" and now the full kit seems to be available: 1. For Golf Mk8: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002952032047.html?gatewayAdapt=4itemAdapt2. For SK NX: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004516798157.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.23f038daJY4MIm&mp=1QQ: Can someone with this feature available from the factory post a full backup of his modules? From what I've identified so far(just pure speculation) the coding could be: control unit 17 - long coding: "Blind Spot detection" No -> Yes control unit 42 and 52:- long coding: "roller_blind_function: not active -> active control unit A5 Driver Assistance - Long Coding: "Blind_Spot_detection" not coded -> coded ... Thank you Br

42 and 52 are not aware of SideAssist, this coding is prepared for automated windows blinds. Either way, there are several other control units need to be coded, just a list from memory, can be wrong: A5, 17, 5F, 44, 76, probably 03 and 23 (brakes are uncocumented).
Please note that some control units have codings for blind spot and side assist seperated. MQBw only has - the better - side assist.
Also be ware that the control modules are having component protection which needs to be aknowledged by ODIS and GeKo from a workshop. Calibration and dataset procedures might follow.
OBD11 is not my favorite tool for retrofit error hunting, as extended information on errors is not always displayes.

Hello, i want to retrofit Blind Spot Detection to my OCtavia NX 2023. I bought the radars, the brackets and just started making the wiring. I am gathering information about the right coding, adaptation etc. I know i have to remove the CP with an online connection with VW servers. Apart from that, does anyone know what the procedure is for programming the remaining modules - units (for example, dashboard, infotainment, ABS, etc.)?

Hello, thank you for your answer. The link you provided is excellent. It contains exactly what I was looking for. I'm also including a corresponding link, from the installation on the same car as ours. Maybe it will help you. (use google translate) www.drive2.ru/l/687276407172112599/I sent you a PM.
