Can someone help me activate traffic sign?
I have a Passat 2021 Comfortline with A5 camera and Basic Led headlights.

Hi,
Do you have navigation system in your car? If not it could be impossible to add TSR...
Please perform backup of below modules and share it here
- 17 Dashboard
- 5F Multimedia
- A5 Driver Assistance
Once you perform backup you can try to activate below functions:

STG 5F:
Adaptations --> Vehicle function list BAP --> a) Traffic sign recognition 0x21 = Active
b) Traffic sign recognition 0x21 msg bus = CAN_Extended
Adaptations --> Vehicle function list BAP --> a) Menu display road sign identification = Active
b) Menu display road sign identification over threshold high = Active

STG 17:
Long Coding --> Road sign detection = Active
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STG A5:
Long Coding --> VZE = Coded
Adaptations --> Road sign detection Fusion Mode --> a) 0
b) Road sign fusion
This menu has two rows: write there above values respectively.

Remember about performing backup first!!

Model Year 2021 should already be facelift, but Comfortline is not.
Either way: With the start of MFK3 (A5 part no 2Q0 980 654) TSR is controlled by Swap, so this needs a key created from VW and transferred into the camera. Generating that key is next to impossible.

1. Does your car has Navigation system?
2. Could you share the full backup of your A5, 5F and 17 controllers here?
3. Please send screenshots of your „ASSISTANTS menu from MIB directly as well.
4. Does Sign Assist system appeared on the MIB?
5. Did you performed AutoScan? If yes please share what kind of errors did you experienced

Again. And the last time: The type of camera is important here: MFK1 5Q0 980 654 MFK2 3Q0 980 654/653 MFK3 2Q0 980 653 MFK3 for MQBw 5WA 980 653 MFK4 1EA 980 653 MFK5 (surprise, no 980 65 anymore  ) People have killed their camera calibration blindly following instructions for different hardware. So again: MFK2 instructions do not work on MFK3, luckily they do no harm |

Nope. You will need to obtain a license code ("FeC") from VW. And thats the problem, as you cant buy them.

Hello.
So, can anyone explain Traffic Sign functionalities on ID.4/6?
I have 1EA980653 camera.
Long Coding is 0008302E1F5100F0172430000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
In adaptation,I can see "Road sign detection fusion mode"
The current value is "Road sign fusion".
Other possible values are "Road sign detection" and "Electronic horizon"
Navigation is not active in my region.
From different sources,i found information that Traffic Sign functionalities can be configured without navigation.
Is this information actual for modern cameras ?
