Hello guys/girls,
I just changed my Varta battery for a Bosch. Did the adaption and it worked but i couldn’t find the manufacturer code for a Bosch battery so i filled in “BOS”. Is that right or should this be changed?

Maybe read THIS. As the link says Bosch batteries are made by EXIDE - but as it also says, there ain't much difference between the major battery manufacturers.
My understanding is that the major variables when coding a new battery into the hex19 module on MQB platform cars (like your A3 8V) is the Amp-hour rating, the battery type and the serial number.
The Amp-hour number and battery type is of course technically important to the charging profile.
The serial number itself isn't important - but what is important is that the serial number is different to the existing serial number that was in the module. Changing the serial number (to something else) deletes the History records for the old battery and sets-up a new file for the new battery.
So, the manufacturer name is probably the least important of the 4 x battery variables - That said, I'm not sure that adding an entirely new name (i.e. "BOS") in the the manufacturer field is appropriate. Maybe use an existing name (I don't believe that it much matters which of the existing names you choose)
