Hello, is there anybody who has pre facelift audi a3 8v sportback with b&o system? Looking everywhere for b&o coding list and couldn’t find anything…

matetron : hmm........ maybe I'm missing something but what exactly are you trying to do? And precisely, what do you mean by "b&o coding list"? AFAIK, the arrangement for an Audi A3 8V (in fact, any MQB platform vehicle) is that the sound system is modular - like this: In my diagram, "J794" is the MMI module (@ address hex5F) that lives in the glove-box and "J525" is the external amplifier (@ address hex47) that normally lives under the front passenger seat. Of course, not all modules shown in the MOST ring may be installed on the car.
So, the modular arrangement for the MMI has the advantage that it will accommodate ANY manufacturer of the external amplifier. So it doesn't matter (from a coding perspective) whether "J525" is made by B & O, or Harmen Kardon, or anyone else.
There are a set of software switches on the MMI that tells the module to operate an external amplifier (i.e. "J525"), or not. Setting these switches to an external amplifier disables the MMI's internal amplifier and it also disables the speaker pins on the Quad-connector at the rear of the hex5F module. These software switches are on Byte 11 of the long-code string and the switch to turn-ON the MOST bus (this is the optical fiber communications medium) is on Byte 19, Bit 5. If this car has an AID dashboard, MOST will already be turned-ON.

Thank You Don for Your support, huge portion of knowledge! What you provided is also what I need. My another question is: Are all amplifiers are coded same way? Or there is different between 3d, cabrio, SB and sedan? I know HB and cabrio has less speakers. I believe b&o engineers thought about sound stage for different models. I drive SB, I have bought all stuff, according to part numbers in etka online but i know it was removed from sedan… so do I need special coding for amp as well or just what You showed? What do You think Don?

matetron : hmm.... those are very general questions - I don't know how the various brands of external amplifier differ!!
However, the answer is NO to the question "Are all amplifiers are coded same way"?
It really does depend on the the part number of the external amplifier that you have purchased and it also depends on how this car was built. In general though, the same software switches in long-code on the MMI will need to be set to tell the module to no longer use its internal amplifier and to start operating the MOST fiber optics cables (plural because MOST is a ring-bus, so it needs 2 x cables).
And of course, the new external Amplifier (hex47- Sound System) will have its own coding - meaning, its own long-code string and its own adaptation channel database.
Again as a general comment, usually the adaptation channel database in the hex47 module doesn't need any coding because the channels are ALL used for diagnostics purposes only (i.e. testing the various speaker-channels at different frequencies)
BUT, you will need to pay attention to how the software switches in the long-code string are set on the hex47 module. If you are not familiar with the long coding function with OBD11 - read THIS. I suggest that you especially note what the link calls the "community section" - this area of long-coding provides descriptions of the purpose of each individual software switch (i.e. each "Bit") - where these are known outside Audi. Clearly the ON/OFF value for each software switch will need to align with the build characteristics of your car!!

Thanks that what i was worried about, i saw few different coding in hex47 so I asked if anyone has b&o in sportback to compare string of what i have to what supposed to be.
Greetings from NL MG
