Sorry, newbie here. I was able to create an account, and connected the new, updated app to my vehicle, a 2016 Audi A6 (US spec with 4G MMI) in order to purchase VIM. There was no option for a 2016 A6, only for a 2016 A7 so I had to choose that one, as I pretty sure the 4G MMI between on the two 16' models is the same. Once I purchase and enable an app, is that modification always available to me to turn on/off? Such as, can I purchase once gauge needle sweep, enable it, and then disengage it later, and then turn it back on again at a later point? Also, if I purchase an app to use for one of my vehicles (an A6), can I use the same dongle and the same app to make the same modification on another of my vehicles (Q5)? Or do I have to purchase the app again? Thanks.

Moonlite, cant answer question about will app for A7 work on A6 as I don't have those cars to confirm. However for the rest of the questions I can try and help on the assumption you have a PRO version (if not then I dont think you can do updates) The dongle will work on any VAG Car (VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda) and any model although the apps that are available for each car are different (due to setup and options on different models). Simply put if you purchase an app using the credits it is for one go, so for example if you were to purchase Traffic sign recognition it will cost you 100 credits to turn it on. If you want to use an app to turn it off you have to pay another 100 credits and then if you wanted it back on via the app yet another 100 credits and this change is only for the car it was plugged into at the time Having said that though some of these apps have dashboard settings then enable you to freely turn on and off and also once you get used to it you can code it on and off yourself for free The Account is where you store your apps and cars (there is no limit that i am aware off) so you can for example have husband and wife car on the account. You just plug the dongle in to the relevant car and then the apps that are designed for that car will appear and you can pay to use them. and don't forget if you log in each day you get up to 6 free credits (one for logging in each day and up to 5 for looking at adverts) Hope that helps and if you go to the coding and adaptions section you will find lots of code to make changes yourself obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/159/coding-adaptations, It is not difficult. What I always say to people is make sure you take a backup obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/1382/backup so that if you get into difficulties you can see what you have done and fix it. One last point for everybody when raising questions please make sure you give all details of your vehicle (including the country) as US cars can had different setup to other parts of the world (due to local laws and user taste etc) Enjoy Ron

okay, got it, thanks Ron. I have a 16' A6, and I live in the U.S. and I have the pro version. By "dashboard" settings, I'm assuming that you mean that changes could be made via the MMI interface itself once the app is used for the first time, and an addition to the MMI menu has occurred? Or did you mean the drop down within the app itself offers you a choice to turn the modification on/off as long as you've paid once for the app?
