There is a specific app for MIB1, and it doesnt work.
Probably some model number exists that has the option to activate, not sure.

Did you do the whole mod? As in once you programmed the 5f you press and held the on/off for 10 seconds?
But I’m guessing your unit is too old and doesn’t have the dials in the image files,
Just looked on a 2016 passat and no off-road menu available in the apps,

Hello vwjap, Thanks for the comment. Yes, I have restarted the unit, 10-15 seconds hold the on/off buton, but nothing.
The app apeard as a new one, it is practically on top of the list for golf till 2017. It can also be seen on obdeleven web site under supported vehicles.
All the best and thanks one more time.

First- I assume that these cars have SATNAV - ain't NO point using the OCA if not!!
If you have a PRO account - why not implement the tweak manually? Or at the very least, you could check that the 3 x adaptation channels are resident in the hex5F module and that the OCA has changed their values to "active" You can find the manual Off-road monitor instructions here - the steps are in VCDS, but the translation to OBD11 speak ain't difficult Don

When I entered automatic coding and saw that it let me do coding, you can see... Usually it doesn't let you if it doesn't read if it's compatible.

danito : I never (emphasis on "never") use "automatic coding" because I never know what coding changes One-Click-Apps (OCAs) make to my cars. That said, I'm aware that OCAs are very popular for a group of OBD11 users that want "instant", "no-fuss" results. Clearly these OBD11 users aren't concerned about unknown changes being made to module coding!
I guess that most of the time, these OBD11 users don't have any problems - but when the OCA goes wrong (as it does occasionally - see examples in this forum), the loose stools in the brown stuff collides with the fan blades!! .............. Usually it doesn't let you if it doesn't read if it's compatible. hmm......... I'm not sure that I share your confidence that OCAs are so successful at ensuring compatibility!!
Yes, the code-cutters on the OBD11 mother-ship do their best to test whether the car is compliant with the OCA - but there are so many possible variations in the way that these modules can be programmed on the car that it's impossible to include ALL possible safeguards.
And of course (and despite OBD11's best efforts), some OCAs just have errors that miss basic compatibility checks. This isn't a criticism of OBD11 - it's more a statement of what happens when so many OCAs are produced!!
As I understand your particular situation - there are 2 x ways forward here: either you make your own checks that the tweak steps were correctly made by the OCA (as I suggested in my last reply) - or you contact the OBD11 help-desk and you ask the designers of the OCA!
Very few of us mere mortals that reply to these forum questions are from OBD11 - maybe one of the deities on the mother-ship can be more helpful??

dv52 (Australia) Thanks for the answer, I have no problem, I have backup modules with both vcds and obd11. He did not make any changes in the mod anyway. From how many forums I read, I knew that the adaptation is not possible on mib1, I thought it was discovered.

Hello Don,
Thanks for your reply, link and time on this topic.
My MIB1 has navigation. I will try the options from the link and give feedback. Although the link seems te refer to MIB2, but worth trying.
