1 year after buying the dashcam, I went to a local dealer to put the cabling in place (behind airbags), and it is plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. I left the car overnight with a connected dashcam, and this morning I figured out that it was working (recording) all night. Should the vehicle power off the cigaret lighter socket when the car is turned off and locked?! I know it's like that for USBs-C. If somebody already tried, would something like this solve my issue?

A cigarette lighter cable to USB-C sorted the problem out :-) Now everything works as intended!
