Hi,
does anyone know how to enable awareness assist function? I found some adaptations for it in Unit 09 (Central electrics) and now got the option in the settings, but every time I get error message "Function not available". Can you help me out?

Hi,
thank you for answer.
Model is Leon ST X-Perience 2016 5F.
I do not have radar (acc) and front camera (lane assist).
By this assist I mean the function that keep the driver allert and suggests taking a break if the driver is going to fall asleep.
Also do you know if there is any way to adjust the range of the LED headlights using OBD? Mine are just to high and I would like to get them down.
Thank you

Sorry been away so catching up on stuff.
So what you are after is the Tiredness Detect function, what I have seen is that it monitors your steering wheel and accelerator usage. I don't have any code for this but will keep looking to see if I can find anything. With regards to lights I am sure I have seen something on this on the Golf forums I will double check and get back later.
The other option as this is a 2016 car why don't you take it to the garage and get them to sort the lights..

Found the link for light adjustment have a read of this thread this is for an older model but expect its the same on yours. But the summary is if you want to adjust the up/down left/right you use the screws, if you want to adjust the motorway lights settings then you need vcds/obd11 (don't think you can change LED Brightness from memory)

I would like to open this topic once again. Is there anyone with a car that has this feature (Weariness recognition known as the Driver fatigue assistant) fitted from the factory? If so, could you please read the instructions below and write here what are your settings of these adaptations or codings? I found something on an Audi A4 forum, but it did not work for me. So up to today my process of trying and finding came to this: In control unit 19 (CAN Gateway) (you need to switch on the bytes and bites look) Byte 17 -> activated bit 0 (it is labelled as MKE checkbox or weariness recognition). Byte 18 is not labelled, but what I have found is that you need to have the coding of bits 00, so all bits should be deactivated if you deactivate all bits you should see a label "Variante 1". Control unit 5F (information control) Adaptations Car_function_adaptations_gen2 (there are 3 quite similar adaptations, so be sure to open the one without words "CAN" or "BAP") menu_display_weariness_rcognition -> change value to ACTIVATED menu_display_weariness_rcognition_over_threshold_high -> change value to ACTIVATED There are two other adaptations for weariness recognition, but leave them not activated These adaptations in Unit 5F are just to make this function visible in the car settings menu on the screen (I get a whole new submenu called "Drivers assistants", but when I want to open it I just got a message saying "Function not available") So this is the last step I got and I would be really grateful for any help. I understand and so did the guys on Audi forum, that you should code something in the Steering assistance unit or Drivers column unit, because this feature monitors the driving wheel. But I did not find anything like that. I will appreciate every response, it is not that I need this function, it is just the challenge of managing it till the end as I am sure you understand

this is what I have on my 2014 car - I think it has the function fitted although I have never seen it in action.
menu_display_weariness_recognition: activated menu_display_weariness_recognition_clamp_15_off: Not activated menu_display_weariness_recognition_over_threshold_high: activated menu_display_weariness_recognition_standstill: Not activated menu_display_weariness_recognition_after_disclaimer: Not activated weariness_rcognition_0x22: activated weariness_rcognition_0x22_msg_bus: Databus Infotainment
This is the adaptions I have on the steering wheel
Control unit: 44 Steering Assistance System description: EPS_MQB_ZFLS Software number: 3Q0909144F Software version: 5043 Hardware number: 3Q0909144F Hardware version: 503 ODX name: EV_SteerAssisMQB ODX version: 010031 Backup name: steering 06 05 17 Long coding: 9103 Adaptations: Activating and deactivating all development messages: Development messages: not active Characteristic curve of steering assistance: Driving profile selection button Activation of pwr steering asst without engine running: not active XCP calibration protocol: not active Software end stop: active Straight line running: active Support power: 100% Driving profile switchover: Incremental, controlled over time Download without rest bus: Suspension data bus: not active RPM monitoring: active
I will check out the control unit 19 later.

I checked your settings with mine and switch these two adaptations you listed above.
weariness_rcognition_0x22: activated weariness_rcognition_0x22_msg_bus: Databus Infotainment
But the I still got the message "Function not available" on the center screen.
Do you see the option "weariness recognition" in the car - settings - drivers assistance?
The coding in Steering unit is the same, so I do not know if there is anything to change.

when you say no luck so far, do you mean you have an error or you have just not seen it work.
I have had it on my car from stock and I have only seen it come up max twice.

Not possible because of SWAP function. As well you can not activate pedestrian monitoring.
