hello , I upgraded my headlights from low led (8EX) to high led (8G0 ,8G1 ,8IT ) . the headlights are second hand but completed with their original modules . 1. cable routing done according to the diagrams . tested each led for low beam ,high beam ,signal ,DRL .all are working on testing . 2. when i connect the fuse for any of them left/right signal ,DRL and high beam including HBA is working but not low beam 3. if i stop the engine and restart it will not work again . If i connect the second headlight again both stop working . 4. does anyone know where i can select the type of headlights and make them work ? 5. car is from NA thank you

It's very difficult to answer your question without understanding what specific equipment is installed in the car (i.e. P/N & S/W version) and what precise fault codes are recorded on your SCAN report - post retrofit However as a general response to your question - the "normal" way that a MQB platform car (like your Audi Q3 -F3) is told which version headlight fittings are installed is via the following adaptation channel in the central electrics module:
- Fernlicht_assistent-Erweiterte_Fernlichtsteuerung (in English: High-beam_assistant-extended_high-beam-control)
The allowable settings for this channel are: - No_Function
- Basic_FLA
- BCM-Fernlicht
- AFS,FLA,BCM-Fernlicht
- AFS,Fernlicht+ueber AFS
- AFS, FLA Fernlicht +ueber
- AFS,FLA_Fernlicht (GLW,MDF)
Note:
- AFS = Advanced Front-lighting System (i.e. dynamic cornering lights)
- FLA = FernLichtAssistent= Main-beam assist (Assistance system which supports auto-changing from main-beam to low-beam headlights in order to prevent dazzling other road users)
Again, as a general approach (not sure about your exact model car), increasing numbers in my list above align with greater headlight sophistication. So (and totally as a hunch), maybe confirm how the above adaptation channel is currently set. I assume that this is the factory setting (i.e. you have not made a coding change) - so the current value should align with the original factory installed headlights (8EX) in this car. Then, try changing this setting to a higher number option in my list above. I stress again, this is my guess! Now and for headlight fittings with non-incandescent lamps, one of the consequences of telling the hex09 module that a new headlight system is installed is that the original initialization values is often lost (not surprisingly). This means that you should be prepared to re-establish these initialization values. This is done by completing procedures in Basic Settings on the module that controls these headlights (which likely WON'T be the hex09 module). If you are not familiar with the initialization procedures for non-incandescent Headlights, the general steps on MQB platform cars are like this:
Important: Make sure the car is fully settled on its suspension and that the vehicle is on level ground
This is a two-part procedure - so both parts must be completed!
Procedure 1
- Select the appropriate module (look at initiating module for the errors in SCAN report)
- Select Basic Settings
- Select Basic headlamp setting and start the procedure
- This is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but in this instance, go to the next step
- Wait a period of time (suggest 10 seconds)- then stop the procedure
Procedure 2 (still in Basic Settings)
- Select Acknowledge basic setting and start the procedure
- The reference settings from Procedure 1 above should now be "recorded" in the module
- Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
- Back-out of the module, clear any error codes and exit OBD11 software (don't forget to disconnect the OBD11 dongle)

Did you? I have a problem with the light assistant. No DTC errors anywhere. Assistant error on the Dashboard.
I have a log with cars that have factory MXB 8IT. BCM is set to: AFS,FLA_Fernlicht (GLW,MDF)
Everything works fine on the lights. Only the high beam assistant HBA does not start.
A5 and 4B module made SVM from Vin with factory 8IT.
Would anyone like help?

Hello. Can you tell which channel is responsible for the connection?
1 LED low beam
2. LED road lights
3. Direction indicator bulb 21w
When I turn on the high beam, a short circuit error pops up.
The lamps in this case apply to the USA in the EU.
My coding in the pictures below.
