Taillights on with daytime running lights

Would like to use taillights also with daylights.
When light switch is turned to auto position, i would like to use daytime running lights on a day time, without thinking are the taillights off or on, without switching the low beams on by keeping the switch on driving position. This is common newer car feature on every manufactorer when its programmed lile that. The problem with it is occuring on a bright time of the day, specially at the winter when the back of the car is covered by snow and behind following traffic cant see you.
