I have changed the selector mechanism in skoda octavia a8 after that an error
41702 - Actuator for Park Locking Pawl
P2888 00 [237) - Open Circuit
[Park Lock/Pawl Actuator Circuit/Open]

Is anyone know what this error means ?
The selector i have changed is new original one .

Have you connected all the harness? May it make sense to double check the wires and connectors!

Usually, the "open circuit" DTCs are generated by fact that the electrical circuit is not closed.

For curiosity, why have YOU changed the selector mechanism? Isn't this covered by the Skoda warranty if this piece breaks and the official dealer must handle it?

I have checked it and there was no problem .
The error only appears on obd11 the car moves with no problems but i wanted to know what the error means.
Here in egypt the selector mechanism isn’t in the official car dealership so i was forced to do it outside the dealership.
