Is there any input or code that allows us drivers to start the battery to preheat?
With current winter temperatures, fast charging is often very slow, 34-59kWh even with a SoC between 5-20%. Even prolonged highway driving for over an hour does not bring the battery above 8-10 degrees Celsius. This means that at the charger, the battery first needs to warm up to 35 degrees. This wil take up to 15mins, which all adds up to a very long 20-80 charging time.
Pre-heating the battery might cost some % of range, but you’ll make that up easily by achieving faster charging speeds.
My hope is that this remains some sort of hidden parameter which could be enabled by using the Obdeleven.

Not possible. We have to wait for a software update - in case Volkswagen has the intent to implement a feature into the navigation software or to enable a "switch". My Born has the "old" software, not software 3.x

be happy that there is no or poor preheater. because this will reduce lifetime of the Battery.
ok you need motre time for charging your car at powerstation. but charging will also heat the Battery so in wintertime good
so preheat e.g. in Tesla causes lower Battery % when you arrive at Supercharger. that lower has to be charged back to level you had without preheat. i have tested.
it depends on you i you want wearing your battery more or less.
