I recently found out how to make the sunroof fully open with one swipe.
Sunroof (CA) Adaptations Travel path Sliding position, intermed. pos. -> Change to Not active (default is Actve)
Once applied a single swipe opens the sunroof all the way!

You mean instead of 75%? I asked about this and someone said it might cause a noise issue.
Why would VW limit the opening otherwise?

Yes instead of 75%.
I have heard people speaking of a noise issue. I have never noticed it. Not sure if that is if you don’t have windows open as well, but if I open my sunroof it is with the windows all the way down and I always open the sunroof fully. 🤷♂️

I'm just curious why VW doesn't open it all the way. Here's some possibilities.
- increase nvh We can try to test for this
-decreases efficiency Maybe the angle at full reduces aerodynamics compared to at 75%. However since cars aren't tested with the sunroof open vw wouldn't care as much
-potential damage by sunroof hitting car, especially over bumps.
Maybe but then why allow it at all

There might be a wind buffeting thing going on. A decrease in wind throughout the cabin.
You could open just the sunroof to the first stop point without any windows open and won’t get the whomp-whomp-whomp pressure noise perhaps?
Who knows. Either way, neither of those mean anything to me.
