Hello there After investigating of many different material, I still have no clear evidence of my intended retrofit from LA to DLA. Btw some time ago Lane Assist and Sign Assist were successfully activated with OBDeleven so now the topic is: My GOLF 7 2013 for sure need the hardware change for headlights: 5G1 941 753 + 5G1 941 754 -> 5G1 941 043 + 5G1 941 044 and the intention is to buy some used headlights without control modules and then put the original modules on them. The coding and adaptation should be like this: 09 BCM MQBAB H / 5Q0 937 084 L / H14 / 0103 / 00080B46C24122FB0FA44080B1140728000A000000000000000000000000 (questionable coding) ENG116946-ENG116062-Leuchte10SHUTTER LB23-Lasttyp 10,2 - Shutter: Diagnosesensierung für 'LED low' ,16 -> Not active EDIT: no need for the 'old type' BCM 5Q0 937 084 L ENG116947-ENG116081-Leuchte11SHUTTER RB22-Lasttyp 11,2 - Shutter: Diagnosesensierung für 'LED low' ,16 -> Not active 55 AFS-ECU / 7P6 907 357 A / H07 / 0080 / 029A00 000B010200 -> 029A00 104F010200 AFS LEIMO L+R / 3D0 941 329 / H05 / 0012 / 2E0000 -> 900000 (this should be changed automatically with previous master coding) A5 MQB_MFK / 5Q0 980 653 / 5Q0 980 653 C / H03 / 0032 / 0101 010001020303000400000000000100 -> 0101 020001020303000400000000000100 But my main concern is about the AFS slave modules which are 3D0 941 329 / H05 / 0012 (Valeo 90033571). Regarding ETKA the direct replacements are 3D0 941 329 - 3D0 941 329 A - 3D0 941 329 D. My slaves have same HW and SW as 3D0 941 329 A / H05 / 0012 (Valeo 90033570) but these seem to be uncertain following different forums. Maybe the reason is the existence of another 3D0 941 329 A / H04 / 0011 (Valeo 89503909) who knows. But 3D0 941 329 D / H01 / 0002 (Valeo 90025567) looks like a sure bet. I was thinking about a test coding for original headlights and modules, but have read about some folks, who with improper coding of the master lost his slaves or were unable coding back with an error. Please could somebody put some light on it? Maybe Don dv52 (Australia) ? Unfortunately I do not have vcds for ross-tech.com, mhhauto.com is for invitations, golfmk7.com and vwvortex.com focusing on nar specs, drive2.ru и golf7freunde.de und motor-talk.de will reveal my google translations more than here

Firstly- AFS module need to be probably with letter D (7P6 907 357 D). The same in lamps- AFS modules with D letters to activate DLA. I made it from 0 (lamps without modules) to activate DLA. Here is procedure which I done to activate DLA:
For activation DLA you need to: STG 09 > Codierung > Byte 02 > Bit 0-2 auf "06 Erweiterte_Fernlichtsteuerung,AFS: FLA: Fernlicht (GLW:MDF)" setzen
STG 09 > Zugriffsberechtigung: 31347 > Anpassung > … Fernlicht_Assistent-Assistenzfahrlicht: Empfindlichkeit per BAP einstellbar > Wert auf "vorhanden" ändern Fernlicht_Assistent-Menüsteuerung Fernlichtassistent > Wert auf "vorhanden" ändern Fernlicht_Assistent-Menüsteuerung Fernlichtassistent Werkseinstellung > Wert auf "vorhanden" ändern
STG A5 > Codierung > … Byte 2 > Bit 0-7 Light/HighBeam Assist Mode 2- High Beam Assist (FLA)/ Dynamic Light Assist (DLA)
STG 55 > Codierung > Byte 04 > Bit 6 aktivieren ("Maskiertes Dauerfahrlicht (MDF) aktiv/freigeschaltet") - after this you need calibrate Xenon lamps- very important. Thats all- I had error due to the fact I did not make calibration. After calibration all starts working properly.

Ok thank you. I put in the info from you to the screenshots: Also I have found your posts on www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?members/jacekk1986.194656/#recent-content and it looks like you have retrofit from halogen w/o LA (and w/o shutter) to bixenon w/ DLA. But in the case of retrofit from bixenon LA -> DLA I presume there is no need for changing the Menüsteuerung and I am still not sure if these adaptations below must be done: 09 ENG116946-ENG116062-Leuchte10SHUTTER LB23-Lasttyp 10,2 - Shutter: Diagnosesensierung für 'LED low' ,16 -> Not active 'old type' BCM 5Q0 937 084 L EDIT: no need for the 'old type' BCM 5Q0 937 084 L ENG116947-ENG116081-Leuchte11SHUTTER RB22-Lasttyp 11,2 - Shutter: Diagnosesensierung für 'LED low' ,16 -> Not activeAlso lupu_sandu had the same config as me, but before he realized his wrong coding for 55, he has flashed 7P6 907 357 A to 7P6 907 357 D and changed 3D0 941 329 to 3D0 941 329 D forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/26805/#post-229654And kevinm has genuine DLA with 7P6 907 357 A and 3D0 941 329 A / H05 / 0012 and that is the reason why I am obsessed with mine 3D0 941 329 _ / H05 / 0012 because these two parts have the same HW and SW forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/28103/#post-238629EDITAdded pic for headlamp_coding_word regarding this thread (comment by mateuszmiast) mhhauto.com/Thread-Golf-7-bi-xenon-problem?pid=1955439#pid1955439

I changed xenon w/o DLA to xenon w/ DLA. My problem was that I haven't high beams. Shutter in my old lamps was controlled by 12V and in new lamps controlled by can and AFS module. I dont change anything in SHUTTER positions. Shutter in DLA is controlled by CAN and AFS module. Only what you need to do is coding BCM by procedure which I posted.
Bit 0-2 auf "06 Erweiterte_Fernlichtsteuerung,AFS: FLA: Fernlicht (GLW:MDF)- this is the main seeting which determine which type of lamp you have.
Probably 3D0 941 329 A can be used but depends on HW version you have (I have no knowledge which HW is correct). In 100% 3D0 941 329 D works properly and can be fitted to DLA lamps.

Ok mate btw we are neighbors because I am from Slovakia and it looks like I am still missing something and have to dig my bookmarks once again but agree that the LA bixenon has 11 pins and the DLA has 10 pins and the missing pin is for the shutter eg: mr-fix You also need to code module 0x55 [xenon range] to take over the high beam control. Standard bixenon is using simple shutter that goes on and off, which is not a problem for 0x09 [BCM]. But DLA projector is using rotating shutter, with stepper motor, hall sensor to determinate current position. This is controlled from 0x55. Anyway, check module 0x09, LongCoding, Byte 02, bits 0-2. Mine is set to off, on, on - and I do have factory bi-xenons with DLA. Value is called AFS, FLA, Fernlicht(GLW,MDF) www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/bcm-exchange-for-dla.405700/#post-7869813When Pin 11 is the shutter input: DLA does not have a discretely controlled shutter. The shutter is controlled by the databus. Then I think your dataset in the 55 is not correct. Either get a used one from a Car with DLA or flash parameters with said tools. And my obsession with different AFS slaves is weaker but still not gone Thinking about creating some table EDITAbout 09 coding I have found this interesting article from Don dv52 (Australia) www.vwwatercooled.com.au/forums/f150/vcds-changes-119124-4.html#post1234994

As I wrote: I changed Xenon lamps w/o DLA (USA version) to Xenon w/ DLA (eu version). These lamps have different shutter control and I had problem to enable shutter and high beams (missing PIN)+ DLA. But now I enable all functions. I described you whole procedure how to enable DLA and I don't understand what is the point of your problem now? Make whole procedure as described and DLA will works- I made it as decribed and all is working as should. And here is site which I used: www.ascoding.ch/en/activate-dynamic-light-assist-dla-mj-2017/

Sorry neighbor. I got no problem and only looking for some knowledge. You was right there is no need for adaptations and thanks to Don dv52 (Australia) I know also why and the issue is that my BCM 5Q0 937 084 L is a sort of 'old type' and there are 'new types' too: Don: Now, your new BCM doesn't have an active long-code facility (notice VCDS reports a zero long-code string). In this newer module, all the long-code software switches are translated to the adaptation channel database. Old BCM doesn't use the SHUTTER Leuchte-sets for high beam!! forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/31860/#post-268093Don: I assume the Shutter Leuchte-sets were originally disabled in your BCM. If so, ain't no point enabling the Shutter Leuchte-sets in the BCM because as factory-set (I assume), this function is managed by the hex55 module on this car. If the "Shutter" Leuchte-sets were factory disabled, this almost certainly means that there are no wires connected to the shutter pins on your BCM (i.e. pins #22 & #23, Socket B are disconnected from the car's wiring loom). forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/26805/#post-229150Regarding my research about the slaves there is the backward compatibility (sure for LA, unsure for DLA) 3D0 941 329 D - 3D0 941 329 A - 3D0 941 329 (in combination with 7P6 907 357 D or 7P6 907 357 A) but still I am not solved the forward compatibility 3D0 941 329 (with 7P6 907 357 A) for DLA. The solution could be sourcing the slaves 3D0 941 329 A/D from an used parts store or try luck with some chinese units www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004761544925.html but then afaik the parametrization (with ODIS or VCP) is needed...

Hello, booboo83 have you tested the valeo AFS module? Do i need 3D0 941 329 D / H01 / 0002 valeo specifically? Thank you
