I put this in General as this applies to all vehicles. I am looking to upgrade some bulbs to LED and I am aware it will throw up some bulb warnings. I think I know what to change the coding to, but I was interested to know if anyone had already had any experience doing this and if there had been any issues?

Did you really intend your post to be so broad - applying to ALL vehicles and ALL models ever built by the VAG group in ALL the various different markets ever sold on this fragile blue planet? Don't be offended by my response because I intend no offense - but really, it might help if you added some specific data about the particular car and its factory installed headlight equipment (please)! Don

🤣 I'm not offended.... amused.
I am generally interested on the whole. But I am aware a lot of MQB coding is the similar across vehicles that share it and the older stuff and their equivalents. I am going to throw this out there as a guess, because I haven't done the research. But in the UK, US and most of Europe Volkswagen and many other manufacturers do not install LED lights all around their vehicles as standard.
The vehicle I am specifically interested is Passat B8 with halogen headlights, but I am also interested in vehicles using the older (Golf mk5 onwards type).
On a second note, when others and myself have asked model specific questions in the past, the responses are rare about what I want to know.
I hope this gives enough reasoning for my very generalised question and why I put it in the General Questions section. 🤦🏼♂️
