Hi all,
Is there a way to code somehow like a "memory" for the headlight control switch? Driving in the city will not require any headlights or DRLs at least not in my country.
So this is very frustrating(for me at least) to press the "Auto" switch until I turn off the lights completely every time the ignition is switch off/on.

While I also like automatic headlights let's not judge personal preference. For example what if you are planning to vandalize the property of the opposing political party? You would want your headlights off to reduce the chances of identification by the trum..person who's property you vandalized.

Thx joinwind , I already took a look on the above list but I didn't find any. Cheers Hi xkvzii, Can you give more details about that contact? Is it a trusted one? From what I can see, based on the prefix, this is located in Algeria! On that country the trim level may be different than EU. Thx

Hello @c4nb!Z,
Thank you for the above coding but this not the one that I'm looking for. With this modification when starting the car the Light Assist/High Beam will keep the last setting and will no longer restart by default.
I am interested about the memory of the Light switch panel. If I turned OFF the light switch, I do like to stay OFF. By default every time the Ignition is cycle, the lights are automatically turn ON.

ah okay, then the description was a bit misleading.
But why does it always turn on? Do you mean the DRL or the real light? Normally it should be on AUTO and only the DRL should be on (when it's bright outside).

Indeed, it automatically came up on AUTO with DRL on during the day, but with High Beam when it's dark outside. But, if not planning to move the car? It just want to try some codings later in the night. With the old manual light switch you can easily achieve this, but with the new digital I'm expecting some coding somewhere to be available.

I know what you mean, I'm not entirely sure, but I think that was in: 09 -> Adaptations -> "Light_Operation" (or "Licht_Bedienung") the top ones. (LTM_BGL...)
You can try it there. Set "wegabhaengig" or "geschwindigkeitsabhaengig" to not active.

The following flags?
Licht_bedienung: LTM_BGL_Wegabhängig: active LTM_BGL_Geschwindigkeitsabhängig: active I've took a look on the local Backup file and they are set to True. I'll try to disable them, in the following days and come back with an update.
Thx

I activated highbeam assist memory about 6 months ago. It will remember the settings only short period. You must turn automatic lights on after one night.

Here are the settings on my car:
Licht_bedienung: LTM_BGL_Wegabhängig: not active LTM_BGL_Geschwindigkeitsabhängig: not active LTM_BGL_Geschwindigkeitsabhängig_Parameter: not active LTM_Beleuchtung_Geschwindigkeits_Schwelle: 10 km/h LTM_GlobalOFF_Wegabhängig: not active LTM_GlobalOFF_Geschwindigkeitsabhängig: not active LTM_GlobalOFF_Zündungsabhängig: not active LTM_GlobalOFF_Geschwindigkeitsabhängig_Parameter: not active Beleuchtung_LTM_Auto_LED_58xt_logik: active Beleuchtung_Auto_LED_bei_Nebelfunktion: active Licht_Reaktivierungs_grenze: 100 m LTM_Anzeige_Config: 2 Anzeigezeit_LTM_PopUp1: 6.0 s Anzeigezeit_LTM_PopUp1_lang: 10 s Licht_anforderung_Pilopark: not active Licht_anforderung_FAS: not installed Lichttastermodul: LTM_Zentraltaste
As I mention above the lights(Low Beam in the night OR DRL in the daytime) are coming up every time the ING is toggle because the lights switch get restarted on AUTO.
