Hi all,
Does anyone know where OBDELEVEN takes the fault codes from? I get an error code B202300 (function limitation due to active protector function) but have no idea what it means. It's too general. Searching for hours and no one seems to have seen that code ever...??
Anyone? Thanks for all!

Don't know where they get them but I would guess from the car as these are standard codes. As you say B202300 is listed as function limitation due to active protector function. The B stands for Body (Airbag, Security, etc) have you done any retrofits to your car or made any changes to the settings Or have you run any output tests. And below is the app help file for error codes.

Thanks for the reply cupra,
Nop. First time connecting OBD11 and scanning. In fact, error is timestamped before getting the device. In my second trip with the car. I imagine it's nothing, but I've driven the car only three times, and I feel really curious about what that fault code really means (no info nowhere). The message is very general to me (what function is partially working? why?). I know it might be several possible causes, but I have no clue even to what part of the car it refers to. And, as an amateur user of a new car, don't know to what extent sporadic faults are normal in a "just manufactured car" (I've driven it 3 times).
Thanks for your reply!

Not an expert (and if any out there please help) but did the app allow you to clear the fault code as you do get errors that then do not come back once you have cleared them (I get a number on the DSG Box).
If you hit the google button on the error code did it give any help.
Last point might be worth a quick chat with your garage as all you have done is run a scan for errors (if it does not clear).

Kipirki hi, I pinged support via the app and they asked if you could give details of what you did to see the error (I am guessing you just ran a scan) and if possible can you give screen shot.
If possible can you change app language to english (for support)

Thanks a lot Cupra,
Exactly, I just did a simple scan. I'm attaching here all the details (I can send them to support directly if needed), as I took the precaution of sending them to my email account. All I know with respect to the code is it occurred at a time in which the car was either idle (motor running) or parking or parked. It is easy to know as I've drived the car 3 times (that's why I remember date and time). Details as follows (they're in spanish but they're easily identifiable by format or using google translator):

First try to clean the fault and check if it will appear later.
Cheers Ron

Hi Ron,
Thanks. I guess that if I clear it, it won't appear again since it's marked as sporadic. I know it might not be important at all. It's just that I'm stunned with the fact that nobody in the entire Internet knows its meaning. And the info provided by OBD11 is too vague. I don't know even what part of the car registered that fault code. Or whether that fault code even exists. I learned that that DTC 202300 is equivalent to B2023, but even for that I don't find any info for VAG vehicles. I was hoping OBDEleven team could shed some light on part of my questions. Not all of them, but part of them.

Well nothing to thank me for as we did not solve your issue.
I agree the response was not the most helpful. My Guess is that this is a new error code that has been introduced with the 2017 models as like you could not find it in any of the sites i normally use. As I said earlier the only clue one can get is that its from the Body section which includes Airbags, Security etc) however I also do get sporadic error messages on the DSG which never cause the car a problem and if you clear the error they don't come back immediately so I can only presume its down to a connection not giving the correct signal at a given time.
One other place to try is talkto@seatcars.co.uk this is the Seat Support team if you send them your vin number and tell them the error code you are seeing they may give answer although I suspect they will just say as you are under warranty go see main stealer (who may or may not be interested as there is not issue).

Yep, you're right. And you've been of great help (at the very least you confirmed my suspicions, and being lost as I am, is very good help :-)).
