Replacing battery on the 2011 Q5 and need to code, after searching the forum and finding screenshots of how to perform it, I can't find any of the settings to select a new battery coding in the Adaptation section of the Gateway module

When you select control unit 19 and then long adaptation the screen will show Enter Channel just below that is Select Value click on the drop down menu and you will see Battery Adaptation
Select that and you will be able to update it.

Thanks for the help but when I select Long Adaptation the only choice I have is entering a channel, nothing below that and no option for a drop down box; maybe I am missing something but mine doesn't show any options

Dont have your car in my garage but I do have a 2011 pasat and have shown the screens below. If nobody has set up the Battery shortcut then I would suggest doing the followin In channel type 002 Then use the blue arrows at the bottom of the screen and keep going right until you see the screen as shown in last picture.
Then add in new values in the same format as the original one.
Hope that helps
THEN THEN THEN

Thank you very much for trying to help but when I click Long Adaptation, I am presented with nothing that even remotely resembles your screen shots; I also noticed my never changes to show "Adaptation" like yours does beside the 3 bars. I am just presented with Channel and when I select 2 there is nothing I can do. I did attach a couple of screenshots to show what I see, nothing is changeable or any drop down box. Out of curiosity, if there was a OCA for this; does it show up automatically or do you need to load it?

Sorry I just saw you are using IOS and that does not have all the good stuff that Android (my screen shots) has.
So again to be clear, go to control unit 19, select long adaptation (not long coding)
Then as you say you just get the channel screen.
Enter 002 and hit enter
Swipe Left and the channel number will show 3 (no its not a dating app)
Then keep swiping left till you see a screen like this (the Value channel number may be 4 but may be different)

Thanks again, I will give that a try; and yes Apple blows for everything other than messaging ;^)
Would it be possible to create an OCA for iOS? I am just thinking that other user of iOS might be in the same boat as it is very confusing to complete what appears to be a simple task
