Hi Ive just tried to activate this function via the app. it says its been successfull but when trying it nothing is happening.
I know some people prefer to use adaptations instead of apps but this is a mates car and i didnt want to mess anything up.
Any help would be much appreciated... im sure lots of you will have done this mod successfully so any info would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Would it be the same procedure in adaptations as it is for my golf mk 7.5 ?
Cheers.

ciderman : The problem with Apps is that they leave no trail as to what changes they make - which means that when stuff goes wrong (as it does occasionally) it's anyone's guess how to fix the matter. So, with this caveat, the "usual" way that this tweak is implemented is to change the channels below in the central electrics module:
- Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion B 12 > Abbiegelicht links
- Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion B 13 > Abbiegelicht rechts
I guess as a starting point you could check if the App made these changes

Hi Don Thanks again for your helpful reply. I will try your suggestion next time I see him. I thought initially that it could be that he's fogs are halogen and not led. As I said before I presume the coding is the same as it was for my golf 2018 gtd which you kindly advised. Cheers.

Hi I have tried several times to activate the cornering lights on my friends a3 using the method above from don.its saying adaptation accepted but they don't work. Do i have to change the static afs as well which is in a previouspost ? Thanks in advance.

ciderman : Of course anything is possible and because we are discussing this on a forum and my only understanding of your friend's car is the few, very broad statements in your posts - I can't be definitive! However, as a general response (and again, I don't know if this applies to your friend's car), the group of adaptation channels in the central electrics module with the parent name "static AFS light" don't need to be changed to enable the cornering light function. This said, the values on these channels can be changed if you want to tailor the operation of the cornering lights on the car - but assuming that the channel values on your friend's car are factory settings, no change is normally needed.
And, I repeat my previous reply: the other unknown in this instance is the precise changes that the One-Click-App made to your friend's car (my advice, don't use OCAs)
So, my only suggestion by way of assistance is to request that you post-up screenshots for the Leuchte-set on one car-side (doesn't matter which side). To be clear, I need to see the values of ALL 19 x channels in the screenshots)

Hi Don Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to find an option to upload a screenshot when sending the reply. Am I missing something ?.

No its counter intuitive If you want to add a picture firstly in the Quick Reply box select the Reply Button (Top Right of the Quick Reply Box)
Then you have two options.
1) Select the Add image to post - this will use the IMGBB Service that is free and simple to use
2) Use the Insert Image button on the toolbar that is shown when you use the Reply Button.
Hope that makes sense

Simon: This forum allows us 2 x ways of adding stuff to our replies. Hit the Reply button at the top right-side of this post. You should then be taken to the Create Post screen - which should look like this:
So, the relevant buttons for adding non-textual stuff to a post are on the upper right-side: - Add Image to post - as the name implies this button embeds the image/screenshot directly into the post
- Add Attachment - this button appends the file (rather than an actual image) to the post
I suggest the latter because it keeps the post neat - IMO

Hi, is this OK, I put everything back to how it was before trying adaptations. Sorry if it's not what you need.

ciderman: Hmm........ the values in your screenshots look entirely unremarkable!
My expectation is that the instructions in my earlier post should work with these settings.
With no offense intended - I wonder if you might have made the common error of mixing-up Abbiegelichts link/rechts with the closely spelled Abblendlicht links/rechts? The former Leuchte-command enables cornering lights, whilst the latter is used for low-beam function

Hi Don No offence taken. Unfortunately both myself and my mate checked and double checked your instructions. Its weird because this worked on my mk7.5 golf without any issues. Thanks again for your efforts. WAnne.

ciderman: ONLY one suggestion left - check the following channel in the central electric module: - static AFS light-Vorschrift > ECE R119
