Just swapped the wheels from 16 to 17. Is there anything needs to be changed as far as the wheel circ is concerned. I realized that there is a setting in terms of wheel variant which i do not have any idea about. Any help would be appreciated.

Old ones 205 55 16 new ones are 225 45 17 not much a big difference though.

Nothing to change, assumming you swapped for correctly sized wheels. As the rim size increase the tyre profile (sidewall) decreases, thus keeping the same total circumference of the wheel. That's why 225/45/R17 is the same as 225/40/R18 and 235/35/R19.
[Width in mm] / [% of tyrewidth that is sidewall] / R [Rim size in inches]
