Hello all, i have a NAR 2017 GTI S manual transmission without VAQ diff and with a manual parking brake.
i have just installed a wavetrac differential, and after driving, decided to lower the sensitivity of XDS interaction from standard to low. I now have brake module codes: ‘control module not coded’ and ‘control module incorrectly coded’ and ‘databus implausible signal’..
I did not perform a backup before i used the app. The app current value for XDS shows standard. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Last night, upon waking the car up, i got an airbag fault light.
To clarify, all that had taken place was XDS sensitivity change while car was running. This was after a wavetrac diff install. Car drove fine after the install, only got the issue once i ran the app.

hmm........ Your SCAN report doesn't show the long-code strings for each module -but I suspect that for some reason, you have lost the long-code on the hex03 module (it sometimes happens)
Please check the long-code on the Brake module. If it's a zero-string, then look through your History records for an earlier entry that possibly shows this value. If you can't find an earlier value, then you will need to get this from a dealer

yes it appears to be a string of zeros.. i have the history and brake coding of a 2016 model year NAR similar spec but no history on mine (2017)

Thanks whataboutthis (I can't keep-up with your name changes- it's doing my head-in!!  ) tristanr: OK - so assuming that the "correction" values applies to the hex03 module in your car (and NOT a "similar spec" module) - apply it to the module and try clearing the errors (you probably won't be able to clear ALL errors) Please understand that restoring the long-code string on this module is NOT a trivial exercise. Yes, it should result in correctly programming the module to align with the way that car was factory built - but very likely, there will still need to be some basic setting calibrations required. Thanks all for the help!; i pasted my old long coding and all error codes are now gone. Once the brake module was corrected, i was able to clear the airbag code.
