Is it possible to default the increment to 1 mph or 1 km/h instead of the 5 mph or the 10 km/h with a long press of the button. The short button press to get the 1 increment is unreliable to me.

Are you talking about the one click app that changes it? I thought that app makes the adjustment 1 unit for any press or swipe

I took a look at the app again, I guess my confusion is that it said Enabled. I disabled it, and this seems to do the trick, where normal pressure increases 1 mph and it takes a bigger press now to get the 5 mph increase.

I can adjust +/- 1km/h from the res and set buttons without coding. The same function was also in my old Polo. + and - buttons function is +/-10km/h |

hmm.........not sure about MQB-evo platform cars - but on MQB platform cars, the tweak for +1/-1 km short-press increments and +10/-10 km long-press increments is done like this (see HERE):
Because it's an easy try - it might be work checking if MQB-evo platform cars have "operation mode 2" setting - maybe?

No need to change anything, just click the up/down button harder, it’s a 2-stage design……
