Hi I'm looking to install puddle lights to my 2022 s3 there's no wiring inside the door.
I've gone onto the door control module and turned on door warning lights I think it was called but unsure if this is right and also do the pins become live right away once you activate it on the coding.

I had the same in my 2022 S3, I retro fitted puddle and warning lights the option to apply to the module should be the door exit lights

That's great thanks, really struggling to find the pins to connect to, do you have a wiring diagram at all?

I got the wiring etc from rocket wires, I should have the pdf here somewhere. I can probably email it to you

If you got the Rocketwires loom, the red spaded wire from the loom goes to pin 16, which is far left on one side of the block (and unpopulated), slot 17 is numbered on the other side of the block. the brown spaded wire goes in slot 5, which is already occupied, so you have to press the tang in the block and pull the wire already in slot 5, and connect it into the male pin end on the loom, then wrap it with electric tape, then put the spaded brown wire from the loom in where you pulled the car's own brown wire out. There's a lot more room to pull the brown wire from slot 5 on the passenger door's block (far fewer wires).
