Good evening, can you help me? I have an a3 8v and i changed my mmi with mmi mib2! United does not sound! The component is in component protection. Can help me to code it and adapt it to my car? What steps should I perform? Sorry for My bad English mauro: hello. Alas, I am the harbinger of bad news - the Component Protection error from your new MIB unit can only be removed (entirely) by connecting the car to Audi's FAZIT facility (which is located at Audi HQ). CP is meant to combat the black market for stolen parts, so removal of CP errors can only happen if the identity of your new MIB unit is checked against Audi's database of stolen MIB units. You need to be a registered dealer to get access to this database (unfortunately). I'm aware that some third party MIB vendors have managed to side-step CP, but whilst they have succeeded in removing the effects of CP, the error itself still remains - because the master module for CP is the Gateway (@ address hex19) - it's not the MIB module @ address hex5F. This means that you will need to visit a registered dealer - alas (and probably pay a charge akin to the annual budget of a small African nation ! Don
