Dear all, especially our hardworking member dv52 , Very often I'm reading your codings, solutions and achivements. And I must say, I am a big fan of your work. After a lot of reading and researching (but no success at the end), I wanted to ask if you can help me with CODING the twin brake lights in 2013 MK1 VW Tiguan, because just outer lights are activated when we press brake pedal. I don't know if I explained clearly what I am trying to do but I will list same thing but with different name in forums that I found. Inner brake lights, twin brake lights, all brake llights.
I will post a video I found in Youtube, some guy succeded doing this but he doesnt tell how.
LINK:
Please I you have any idea how to do it, I will be really gratefull to you. Thank you in advance.

@ agim :Hi and thank-you for the (undeserved) kind words.
This tweak is relatively simple for the newer version Tiguan that has a MQB platform build because these cars use the newer UDS/ODX style central electrics modules
However, your (5N) model Tiggy has the older non-UDS hex09 model and it is built on a PQ46 platform - with which I have very little experience (alas).
PQ46 platform is ostensibly a variant of the earlier PQ35 protocol. My understanding is that VW/Audi applied PQ46 to larger cars (like your Tiggy). PQ35 was a major build platform for a wide suit of cars in the VW/Audi stable.
The reason for my description of VW build platforms is that there may be a relationship with the tweak needed for the 5 x brake-light tweak on your Tiggy (if it's possible at all) and the same instruction for other PQ35/PQ45 model cars (I'm guessing, of course)!
That said, my (uninformed) hunch is that this particular tweak might (emphasis on "might") involve a change to the dreaded Byte18 on the central electric module. I'm not sure how familiar you are with Byte 18 changes on non-UDS hex09-modules - but forums are replete with horror stories regarding these modifications.
So, the only advice that I can provide on this matter is exercise caution if you consider modifying Byte 18!!

Dear dv52, THANK YOU very much for your reply. Yeah, I reeded horror stories about byte 18 too. Thank you for your explanation and also for your time. If not this mod, I think I will try to figure out if I can make it possible to enable "AUDI" Engine MOD in my MK1 2013 Tiguan. At least one mode that will give me joy If you know something about that, It would be helpful to share with us. Because all I read is about new generation Tiguan's in forums Thanks again for your effort on our (car lovers) community!
